Once again, I can't believe it's been over a month since I wrote on this blog. I should be ashamed of myself!!!! I am. I've been busy. I've had Herceptin a couple of times, a measurement on my little cancerous area under my clavicle, done a lot toward Relay for Life, loved my family, loved my God, loved my friends. Yes, I have a resistant area under my clavicle that is being hard to get rid of. I'm on the Herceptin and now changing my diet to help in fighting the cancer and getting rid of it. I'm eating many more veggies per day and week and also more fruits daily and weekly. Whole grains, cutting down on sugar and sweetners. I'm doing well and I'm losing weight. I'm enjoying time with everyone I know and love. We had a nice Valentine's yesterday. We ate dinner with Kimberly and then went to a hockey game. A lot is going on with Relay for Life-getting our church team started, trying to fundraise, enjoying life as God gives it to me.

I hope you all have a blessed week. We are showing the movie Courageous on Saturday evening at church. If you live around me and haven't seen the movie, come to our church. It starts at 6pm and we're having a snack bar with hot dogs, nacho's, etc. God Bless You all!!!!

Hi everyone, I can't believe, again, how long it's been since I have written. How time flies whether or not you are having any fun. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas. I went to Phoenix after Thanksgiving to see my cousins and my aunt. I had a wonderful time and it was so good to spend a few days with them. Caleb and Caitlyn were here over Christmas and again we so enjoyed their short visit! They were here 10 days and that wasn't long enough but for us, the time is NEVER long enough. They are such sweet kids and we love them dearly. Carlos and Deborah were here before Christmas. We had such a great time meeting Deborah and showing them all the changes that have been made around here through the last few years!! We hope to see them again sooner than later!

I'm doing well. Almost cancer free. Still on my Herceptin and that will continue indefinitely. I have 2 residual spots and one is shrinking. The other is under my clavicle and it's grown a little bit. They are watching it and trying to figure out if it's puffiness is due to cancer or other autoimmune disease process like allergies, arthritis, etc. I'm going to get my hair cut Monday at the Survivor Gals place. First haircut in about, oh gee, at least 1 1/2 years! I'm anxious to see what it looks like and if it retains the curls. I sure hope so.

The kids are all growing like weeds and I'll be sure and include pictures of everyone. Caleb 10 1/2, Caitlyn 61/2, Zachary almost 3, Sadie, 10 months. The kids all had fun at Christmas time!

Christopher is planning to marry next summer. Happy for him. I think a lot of Staci and I know she loves his kids. She is a teacher and is about to finish up her Master's Degree. He's still working and enjoying his job.

Kimberly and Les are good also. Kimberly is working still with Pampered Chef and is becoming rapidly a VERY good cook and enjoys baking. Les works hard daily and has so much fun on his off days with his children.

Bryan is trying to get a parttime job to give himself something to do. I hope he find's one. He's applied to one of the local thrift stores so we'll see. He'd LOVE doing that sort of thing-turning 1 man's trash into another man's treasure!!!

Hello out there in computer land. It's been a busy several days for sure. The funeral went as well as a funeral could go. Carlos and Deborah got here safely yesterday. We've been busy already. We went to supper last night to celebrate Carlos' birthday and we had a fun time. He looked cute on the saddle singing his napkin over his head! Took the kids to see Santa today. Zachary was so excited to see him and Sadie could care less. They took a great picture though. Caleb and Caitlyn will be here in a little bit and we'll go back to see Santa after all 4 kids are together. Not much else is going on so I'll go for now.

Dear Friends and Family, I just got back from Phoenix visiting my aunt and cousins. I had so much fun!! When I get time to put the pictures on the computer, I will so you can see the beautiful mountains. I helped my cousin put up her Christmas lights. They turned out beautiful. I'm sorry to say that I lost my friend that I've known since about 5th grade. She had cancer. I hate this disease!! Her funeral is tomorrow. I was with her mom this evening for the viewing. I'm speaking tomorrow during the funeral for several that can't be there. They wrote out what they wanted to say about Patti. It's rainy and cold and poor Carlos and Deborah may freeze!! Well, I'm going to go to bed as I'm exhausted!!! My love to you all.

Gee, I can't believe how long since I've written here!!!! Time has flown for me for sure. The month of October went by so fast, I didn't have time to blink. I was with Larry for a few weeks while he had his open heart surgery and then Kimberly and the kids and I took a few days and went, where did we go? San Antonio, that's right. forgot for a minute. I've done a lot of traveling in the last couple of months. I'm excited though because on Wed., I'm going to Phoenix to be with my cousins and my last remaining aunt for a few days. They lost a member of their family-my cousin David and I couldn't be there for his memorial service so I'm going to spend time with them. I know they hurt and maybe God will allow me to ease their burden a little for a few short days. I'm praying that way anyway. One year ago this time, I had been in the hospital and had no hair! Praise Jesus and what a difference a year makes. I have a scan within the next 3 weeks and we'll see if we stop Herceptin and "declare victory" as my Dr. says. Be glad when it's done. I'm battling another sinus infection right now. I hate these things. Cough cough. We're excited because the kids will be down here for all of Christmas/New Year's break!!! Christopher's kids!! Zachary and Sadie are growing so much. Sadie has 6 teeth and is beginning to crawl on hands and knees. She's been 'army crawling' for about a month now. She's such a sweet baby. I'll have to include a picture of her and I and she's wearing one of my baby dresses. It's such a sweet picture. I really love it. Beginning to get Christmas shopping done. Not doing much this year because of economy but will do some anyway. The true meaning of Christmas is Chris so will concentrate on Him. Well, I'm going to try and go back to sleep for the rest of the night. God Bless and have a great week.

This is Sadie's Dr., Dr. Eastman. I worked for him many years ago and he was both Christopher and Kimberly's Dr. The kids really do like him a lot and he's so good with the kids.

Hello to everyone. Such a busy week or so but it's been great. Bryan and I went to East Texas for a few days and it was really fun. We had a nice time at the condo. Kimberly and the kids came down for a couple of days and we had fun. I have my Herceptin this week so it should be an interesting week. I think I see Dr. Brook's also. There's a lot going on for the next few weeks so I'm not sure how much I'll be online. My brother is having open heart surgery in Houston on October 3rd so I'd appreciate prayers for him. He's a believer so it's a win-win situation for him. I'll just be glad when it's all over.

Sadie has 2 teeth now. She's 6 months old and really setting up pretty well. She LOVES to eat-not baby food especially but real food!! She says, 'ummmmm' with a new food and smacks her little lips. She's such a cutie. She REALLY loves to drink from a straw and a cup also. She's growing like a weed also. I'll see if I can put a few pictures on this blog. I know I can, just have to do it. Good morning to all of my friends and family. I'm doing awesome today. It's a gorgeous day out there. It's COOL!!!! Zachary spent the night last night. He asks quite frequently to stay. We enjoy him so much. One of these days, Sadie, will be old enough to stay. Just wish Caleb and Caitlyn were here to stay also!!! We miss those babies so much. Not much is going on right now. Just enjoying the cool weather. Speaking of Sadie a minute ago, she is cutting her first 2 bottom teeth!! One minute they weren't there, and the next minute there they are. Hard to believe she's already 6 months old. She's setting up also! I need to have some pictures of her made. I found one of my baby pictures and also the dress I was wearing at the time so I'm going to put her in the dress and have pictures made! Well, I'll close for now so take care and God Bless.

I have some prayer requests.

1st-one of Caleb and Caitlyn's relatives has stage 4 breast cancer. They found it after she had a baby. She's in Houston right now. I'll try to keep you posted. I hope she TRULY knows Jesus in her heart also.

2. My friend Patti has bone cancer now. Had breast cancer with a double mastectomy about 8 years ago.

3.My friend Rita also has breast cancer that has spread to other areas.

4. Me-seeing all of this is so scary to me but I KNOW Who is walking with me on this road. I pray He gives me continued good health in order to do His will.

Good morning to all!!! I am doing just awesome this morning!! I slept well last night as I didn't sleep well for several nights with being gone. Home now for awhile but back to Houston I go in October to be with my brother. We so miss the kids. They haven't been allowed to talk to their daddy in a week. What's wrong with THAT picture?? Can you say "go back to court"? Anyway, I won't let anything stand in my way of happiness with my Lord and Savior. satan can try to do all he wants but, he's NOT defeating me or any of my family. Chrissy got engaged last week and we're so thrilled. The kids really like Staci and in fact, they were talking to Poppy while Christopher was out on the field proposing. It was a neat proposal. I know it's on you tube and I'll try to find it for you all. I can maybe send the link anyway. Today is Sadie's 6 month check-up!!! I can't believe it. She's trying her best to sit up and she does but will topple over. She can gum some table food and loves it. Hello everyone, the kids had to go back to Maryland on Saturday. The child exchange went well but of course Christopher had protection this time. Thank you Maryland State Police. We had such a great time with them this summer. They are so sweet and we love them so much. I just took the day off sort of. Did some laundry, prayer time, and just rested. Kimberly wants us to eat supper with her and the kids tonight at Cotton Patch Cafe so we'll meet her in a little bit. Not much else going on at this time-I'm doing well. My scans were good and my Herceptin continues for awhile. I don't know when it will quit either so that's good. I hope you all have a wonderful day and I'll be more faithful to write more often.

I do have something new. Sadie is drinking from a straw now and is only 5 1/2 months old. I'm so proud of her. Little sugarfoot girl. I'll post a picture of her taking my straw and not letting go of it!!

Boy how the time has flown by!!!! I last wrote in July and now it's August 8th. Let's see, from the last time I wrote I've traveled about 3000 miles!!!! We went to Chicago-driving !!! Kimberly, Zachary, Sadie, Caleb, Caitlyn, Clayton-my brother, Freddie-caregiver, and me. Bryan flew up a few days later. Everyone was SOOOO good!!! We had a great time and the kids got to meet all their cousins that they had never met before. They had such a great time catching frogs, chasing animals, etc. My brother has a pond and 8 1/2 acres and I think they covered most of it in the days that we were there. I got back from Chicago, and then left for New Orleans to be with my brother for an angiogram. It went well and we will probably only have a minimally invasive heart procedure. Praise the Lord. Got back on Sunday night and left Monday morning for Texoma to be with some friends at their timeshare for a few days. We also went up to Turner Falls for the day. I'm going to try and go back one more time before the kids go back. They really had a great time. I have my next PET scan on Wed. and will have the results by next Tuesday. Then I have my mammogram and visit with my breast surgeon. I'm wondering about where we go from here as far as my treatments go. I feel the PET is clear and clean, I'm just curious about what we do from here-if anything. I'm so loving my new church. Our VBS was totally wonderful. I'd LOVE to have you visit my church even by internet. The site is www.cbclucas.org. We have a video ministry and you can sign up for free and watch our sermons online. We have people from all over the world that watch. Even soldiers in Afganistan, Iraq, etc. Check it out. I'm going to go-oh by the way-pray for my PET scan please, results and then also remember our doggie, Duchess. She again has more cancer that is going to be removed Friday. She got groomed today by a friend that is just getting into the trade and she did an incredible job!!!! Thank you so much Helen. Hello everyone, Kimberly wanted me to tell you the story behind the Butterfield Overland Mail. I was 7-8 years of age when we celebrated the 100 anniversary of the Butterfield Overland Mail that traveled from Tipton, MO. to San Francisco, CA. My dad was an airline pilot and when he would fly from Tulsa, where we were based to El Paso or onto California, he always noticed ruts in the ground out around the Guadalupe Mountains out toward El Paso. In doing so history, which he LOVED, he discovered that that had been a mail/passenger route used by stagecoaches "back in the old days." He got in touch with many people and together they set up a plan to travel the old route of the stagecoaches. It took several years to put together including obtaining a stage, horses, cowboys, etc. Many cities and towns along the route had huge big parades, parties, barbecues, etc to help in celebrating the 100th birthday of the stage line. Anyway, my dad was instrumental along with American Airlines-who he worked for, the Boy Scouts of America, and of course the National Park Service along with the post office to erect a monument in honor of the pioneer pilots and the Butterfield Overland Mail out at the Guadalupe Moutains, where the Piney Woods station had been. You can still see the remnants of the station there. Anyway, my brother's, dad and others were the first to put a small monument on the saddle of the mountains and then later a helicopter placed the 6 foot stainless steel monument that is still standing. In fact, if you climb to the saddle of the mountains, you can still see the monument, sign the registry, etc. I would LOVE to climb it, but I have bad knees and I'm unable to do it. 2 of my 3 brother's have climbed it in the last several years. It means a lot to our family, and if you go there and want information from them, all you need is an okay from me and some numbers, that you must give them. Anyway, I'll add a picture of my grand kids on a stage and look for some others that I can post for you. Have a great day.

Happy Birthday to me!!!!! I can't believe I'm 60 years old today!! Doesn't seem possible. What a way to celebrate though today. I have my grandchildren-all of them with me, my family, friends. What an awesome day. I'm doing well, hair is growing so much. It's greyish or silver color is beautiful!!!! I feel great. Next week, we're taking another vacation. We're going back to the Hill Country with Christopher, Caleb, Caitlyn, me, Staci and her daughter Vicktoria. Caitlyn has already asked to sleep in the same room with Vicktoria so poor Staci get's me!!!! We both snore so we'll see who wins out. Ha ha. We're going to go toobing in the San Marcus River, see the bats flying, see the capitol, and a bunch of other stuff. There is so much to see and do and learn about Texas!! Do you know, those of you not from Texas, that we have dessert, mountains, tree's, all kinds of terrain here in our great state!! Well, thank you Jesus for allowing me to have such an awesome life. Hello to everyone!!! Bryan and I just got back from the Hill Country where we really enjoyed ourselves down there. We have a timeshare and it's fun. We had some friends to meet us down there for a day or 2 and we REALLY enjoyed them!!!!! We're looking forward to Caleb and Caitlyn getting here for most of the summer. They are here for 2 months and boy, does the time fly!!!!!! We have several things planned so far and we'll have a lot more to do than before. Rodeo's, and oh my goodness, so much more!!!! I hope you all have a blessed summer if I don't get a chance to get back on here for awhile. I'm doing well though. I had my Herceptin today and also a echocardiogram to make sure I'm doing well, heartwise. Well, off to bed sleepy head!!!

Boy, I've been neglectful in not writing to you all!! I'm so sorry. Just been busy. We are having a great spring, summer so far. Christopher's kids will be here in 2 weeks!! Can't wait. Sadie will be 3 months in 2 days!!! Growing too fast. Zachary is excited to see his cousins for the summer. We have several things planned while they are here. We are all doing well. Took my brother to Galveston last month and he really enjoyed that. We rode the ferry, walked on the beach, ate at his favorite places, etc. It was a good trip. I'd let you know what all we're doing this summer but don't want to divulge everything in case weird- o's are reading. Don't want you to know when or where. Anyway, I'll post pictures after they get here and the fun begins!!!

Hi everyone. I hope this finds you all doing well. I'm doing great!!! I had my visit with oncologist today and the Herceptin and then also to the gynecologist oncology Dr. So much fun!!! Everyone says I'm doing well. I believe them. I wanted you all to see some additional pictures that have been made recently at the Allen Wrangler football game. It was so neat and all the staff are such nice people. It's cold and rainy here and this will probably be our last cool weather until this fall!! It's May and should begin to warm up!! Oh me. Anyway, I also want to invite you all to the Allen Wrangler game on May 21st at 7pm. If you will buy $15.00 tickets, then they will donate $5.00 to our Relay for Life team. That is so cool. I hope you can come. Indoor arena football was very exciting to me. You have to say my name though-Marsha Johnson, if you can't remember! hahaha. Hope you all have an awesome day.

Oh man!!! Did we have a terrific Easter time with Caleb and Caitlyn!!!! We celebrated birthdays, hunted Easter eggs, went to an Allen Wrangler football game where I was the honorary captain, spoke at a cancer survivor balloon liftoff and celebrated Easter Sunday with church!!! We pack so much into our short days with the kids. We had such a wonderful time with them. Their time here is always too short. Some day though, maybe they'll be here longer. We are already looking forward to summer. I will enclose some pictures on this. I got to meet Drew Pearson also. He was a professional football player with the Dallas Cowboys back in the good ole days. I even got to put on his Super Bowl ring. Thank you to the Wranglers for such an exciting time with you all. All the players were so sweet to me. I got hugs from them and congratulations and God Blesses for being a survivor. It was wonderful. Zachary had such a good time playing with Caleb and Caitlyn. They couldn't believe little Sadie either!!! They are such special children-all of them. I hope you have a wonderful day. I smell my brownies cooking for the Wranglers so will go. Love ya.

Christopher is having a wonderful time in Maryland with the kids!! Praise the Lord. He's been able to go to Caleb's ballgames. Caleb asked him to go and Christopher was thrilled. Caitlyn said that she can't wait to get to Big D so Grammy can wash her hair in the kitchen sink. She's so precious in our sight!!! Caleb REALLY wanted to be in Dallas instead of Maryland for the 3 extra days but that's okay. Some day he'll understand. We're going Easter dress shopping on Friday morning as we have a birthday party that evening for Zachary and then on Saturday, we have birthday parties for Christopher, Caleb, Caitlyn, Staci so we'll be busy!!! On Sunday, it's Easter Sunday praise and thank you Jesus!!!!! Such an exciting time. We get to take the kids to an indoor football game in Allen on Saturday where they are doing a survivor event that evening and I've been asked to speak. I've been studying on a verse that my pastor gave to me. It's 2 Sam. 23:2, which reads, "The Spirit of the Lord spoke by me, and His word was on my tongue. " I want His Light to shine through whatever He lays on my heart to say. I would appreciate your prayers. Love to all!!!!

God truly works miracles!!!! Christopher is going to get his kids for the Easter break. We are all very excited that he is going to spend 3 days with them in Maryland. He's going to school with each of them and get to meet their teachers, and everyone that works with Caleb and Caitlyn. Thank you Jesus for this and we so appreciate the fact they are coming to be with us over Jesus Christ's rising from the grave!!!!!!!! AMEN!!! Have a blessed day.

Hey everyone. I hope this finds you all doing well. I know I am!!! I'm so blessed!!! Sadie did well on her check up today. She weighed in at 7-13 1/2 so we're excited for that. She didn't need blood this week but will next week. That will be another long day for sure. We are also excited because Caleb and Caitlyn are coming soon-like next Monday. Praise His Holy Name. Zachary can't wait to see them. I tell him everyday that they are coming. Needless to say, we're all excited about it. I've been asked to take part in a cancer survivor program next week being done by the new Allen Wrangler indoor football team!!! I'm speaking so that's scary but I'm asking God to put the words into my mouth that He wants me to share with others. It should be a neat evening!!!. We're also getting ready for Relay for Life in Allen. We have a big team from church and have raised a lot of money so far. It's exciting. Hello to everyone this beautiful spring morning!!! What a glorious day it is. I have my Herceptin today so will be excited to see my friends at Medical City. Then I'm going to play photographer for Kimberly and Les and take pictures of them in the bluebonnets. It should be a fun day. I'm excited. We, as a family, are so excited also because Caleb and Caitlyn will be here in only 1 week!!!! So much fun. I know they are excited because they will get to meet Miss Sadie Jewell and Zachary always looks at pictures of them and gets so excited so we will have a wonderful time!!! Praise the Lord. Boy is it beautiful outside!!! Awesome. I just wanted to put a couple of pictures on here so you can see Sadie. She was 1 month old yesterday. Doesn't seem possible. Good morning to everyone. I should have stopped to read what I had written since I haven't written in awhile. Kimberly and Sadie are doing so good!!! So proud of both of them. Sadie has actually gone a 4 hour stretch-only once but there's hope!!! hahaha. She went to church for the first time tonight to a Wed. night service. She slept pretty much through it. I am so excited that Caleb and Caitlyn will be coming over Easter-can't wait to see them. We all miss them so much. Zachary thinks of them a lot and squeals for joy when he see's their pictures or hears their voices either on a video or on the phone. Les and Kimberly are also getting moved into their new house. Everyone is settling in nicely. Christopher is doing well. His job is the same-he doesn't like have to try and get blood out of a turnip but so many people live above their means. It's not his fault they can't pay their bills. He and Staci are doing well with their relationship. I"m glad they are taking their time getting to know each other. Bryan and I are doing well. We want to take a few days away-don't know what to do but I'm sure we'll think of something. Well, you all have a blessed week and I'll keep you updated. Good morning to everyone!!! We are doing great!!! Baby Sadie is growing up already. She's 2 weeks old by now and did well at her Dr. appt yesterday. She had gained 4 oz in 4 days. Zachary is doing so well with her. I'll check on Kimberly's computer and see if we have anymore pictures. I don't have my computer here so I don't have the pictures off my camera. I have several on my phone but I don't have them on my computer. I'm feeling well, I see my oncologist on Monday for my check-up and also Herceptin. My hair is growing back fairly quickly. Excited about that for sure. Sadie's hair is longer than mine!!! She looks cuter in the hairbows then I do. Oh well, that's okay. We can't wait to see Caleb and Caitlyn next month. We get to have them in April for a week so we're excited. They called yesterday and we got to talk to them for awhile yesterday. Today we're going out to Kimberly's new house to help fix it all up. Good early morning to everyone. Boy it's early and I'm awake with Kimberly while she feeds a little. We are so blessed to have her. I'm not going to write much as it's 2:30 and she's almost finished eating but I wanted you to see her. She weighed 6 lbs 13 ounces, 19 1/4 inches long and was born on March 4th at 7:59 AM. Good morning to all!!! I'm absolutely grand today. God is so good. I had such a great time yesterday with a "pink party" given in my honor by Chick-fil-a. Talk about a SHOCK!!!! I was stunned to walk in and there was cow with a pink "necklace" of tulle and balloons and friends!!! Here is one of the pictures with cow. Loved it. I appreciate all the hard work. Kimberly and a wonderful friend Christy Oakes, that works for Chick-fil-a put this party together. It was such a honor and SOOOOOO neat!!!! Today is Kimberly's 37 week check-up. I'm all in pink also for the day. I LOVE pink and purple. They are my new favorite colors. So excited to meet Miss C. I dreamed about her last night!!! She had long blonde hair, was a big girl and long. It was a neat dream. Zachary has named me Mimi instead of Grammy. I'll ask the kids-Caleb and Caitlyn if they want to stay with Mimi that Zachary named me or continue with Grammy. It doesn't bother me either way. I love ALL my grandchildren!!! Miss them so much. Hello everyone. I'm so sorry I haven't written in awhile but have been busy!!! Yeah!!!! I had my PET scan a few weeks ago and it was cancer-free so I'm praising the Lord for that. I went to Florida for 10 days to celebrate with my brother's. We had a lot of fun together. I'm back now awaiting a birth of a little girl. Should be within the next 2 weeks. Kimberly and Les will be closing on their new house hopefully on Monday. They are excited about it and so are we. I don't have any new pictures because I haven't unloaded the camera yet from the trip. I will soon. A wonderful day today!!! I love Texas weather-in the fall, winter, spring. I HATE the summers though!!! It's supposed to be in the 70's today!!! Praise the Lord. It will be beautiful outside. I will be out rejoicing and maybe work on a little sunshine for the ole head. I'm wondering if I'll have gray hair, dishwater blonde again? curly? straight? I'm excited to see what the Lord gives me hair wise!!! My PET scan was clear so that's such a praise. I have a new picture of our little granddaughter. She was about 31 weeks along at the time this was made. The 3-D sonograms are so neat!!! Kimberly is doing so well with this pregnancy. She's not having any of the problems she had with the Z-man and we're so thankful for that. She looks healthier than he did at this time so we're praying she doesn't have the blood trait that Les' family has. Still no name for her yet-they are still discussing the possibilities. I know I will love it no matter what it is. Zachary has named me-different from Grammy. I'm Mi-Mi to him. I'll be like "flower" in Bambi-"He can call me flower if he wants to". Good evening everyone. Sorry it's been so long. Kimberly, Zachary, and I went out of town for several days. We had such a good time. We went to Galveston and just enjoyed ourselves. Didn't really do much but we had fun. Zachary had the best time himself!! It would be so much fun to take Caleb and Caitlyn down there!!! I think they would enjoy it. Hello everyone, We've had such beautiful days lately!! We got snow yesterday to the tune of about 5 inches! So pretty to watch it falling, silently, beautiful!! This morning it was so nice to sit in the plant room and enjoy the silence of the road and to watch the bluejays and cardinals eating. We still have snow today which has melted some but at least the roads are clear and it's still so pretty out!!! I just love it. I had a great cardiologist visit this morning. Dr. Hollowell is so nice and such a compassionate Dr. He said I was doing as well as could be expected with what all I've been through over the last 5-6 months. I see Dr. Brook's this week (Friday) and he's going to order the PET scan. I'm happy. We get to see Miss Baby C tomorrow and Thursday. Kimberly has Dr. appts and they will be doing 3-D pics tomorrow and then our "fun" 3-D pics on Thursday. I'll post pictures of the snow, the baby, Christmas, etc later. Gosh, I can't believe it's been so long since I blogged on this!!! Sorry everyone. I don't even know if you all know that I ended up only having 5 treatments because of a reaction to some of the chemo. I see the Dr. next week and I REALLY want to have the PET scan done!!! We had a good Christmas even though we didn't have Christmas until the 30th because we couldn't get Christopher's kids here any sooner! We only got to visit with them for 2 1/2 days but that was better than nothing. We did a lot in a short amount of time! They are so precious and Zachary had such a good time with them. They couldn't believe how he was talking and making noises of animals, etc. We had a great time. I know I told you all months ago that we had joined a new church. I feel like a new christian there because I'm learning so much that I never knew before. I could give you so many examples if you want them. Our pastor is so spirit filled. It's such a blessing!!! I have such a loving church family and I thank God everyday for sending us to the new church. Well, gonna go for now so take time and leave some comments if you want.

Good afternoon everyone. Well, different kinds of news from the Johnson household. Yesterday, I went in to get my blood tested and to have Dr. Brook's check this heart shaped rash on my forehead. Well, he looked at me and said, "you're finished!" I didn't understand what he said and so he repeated it and added NO MORE CHEMO FOR ME. I had 5 doses out of 6 and now we'll see what we do from here. I have to have an ECHO on Monday following my antibiotic infusion. It's to test and see how my heart is. I'm so glad that the chemo is finished. Then today, we went to Kimberly's Dr. appt and got to see some 3D4D pictures of Miss Baby C. She is bigger at this point in time than Zachary was. She has fat little fingers, and fat chubby cheeks. Tomorrow, we have a regular 3 D appt with Visions of Love so we'll get better pictures of her and then we can post them. Caleb and Caitlyn will be arriving her on Monday!! Can't wait to see them. I hope you all have a very Merry Christ-mas and I'll keep you posted on my events as they go along. God Bless You All!!

Hello everyone!!! Wow, I can't believe it's been so long since I've written on my blog. Sorry. I had treatment # 5 and so glad it's over with. I have 1 more to go and then it'll be PET time, ECHO test time, etc. to see how I've done through everything. Other than fighting sinus infections, I've been doing okay. I'm once again on antibiotics, which is helping to get rid of this sinus stuff. As far as my feelings go from chemo, I'm doing okay. Tomorrow, it's supposed to be a beautiful day in the 70's and so I'm going to get out and do a little bit of shopping and playing after my Dr. appt. Tonight, I feel like cooking so it's meat loaf, mashed potatoes, veggie casserole. I'll finish my brother's Christmas cards tonight, and begin to work on ours. I've gotten quite a few done. I'll give out the neighbor cards tomorrow, waiting for pictures for our cards, and got the cards and pictures for Clayton's. I'll do that this evening. I want to put a couple of pictures on here of several different things. My friend Kathy Ellis made me a beautiful blanket and then just some other snap shots. I hope you all have a great week. Hi everyone, It's Saturday. It's hard to believe that I've been hoe from the hospital for a week and haven't gotten ANYTHING accomplished!!! Accept rest. I went out for a little bit yesterday and ended up sleeping for 3 hours when I got home!!! The fatigue is what gets you. Marilyn has been telling me about that all along and I just couldn't imagine it. It's true!!! I'm almost ready for bed now and it's 8:15pm. Hello from the Johnson Household!! Well, I'm doing better-praise the Lord. White count is coming right on back up and my Hgb. was looking a lot better. I'm blessed. I've stayed in the house since I got home other than going out Monday to do my lab work. Cabin fever!! Today, I'm going to put on my clothes and not stay in my pj's and put up a few Christmas decorations in the house. I still have pumpkins out!!!! My strength is coming back but I don't want to overdo it for sure. Chemo # 5 is Monday after my visit with Dr. Brook's. He says I'm tough and I say it's God's strength that is making to tough, I can do ALL things through Christ that strengthens me. Christopher is off today so I'll have him buying a few Christmas presents for me-wish I was out there myself but that ain't happening!!! It's a beautiful clear day, hardly any breeze and it's about 56 degrees out there. Still pretty cool. Anyway, I wanted to keep you all updated with how things are in Texas We sure do miss the kids but they'll be back in about 3 1/2 weeks!!! Yeah!!! Good morning everyone, there is no place like home!!! Thank you Lord for letting me get home. Didn't sleep well last night because of the cough, so hopefully a nap will do the trick. I'm still on antibiotics and I go for labwork tomorrow and see how I'm doing. Will have to keep you posted. I was so excited today that I got to "go" to church online today. My brother Larry also went to church with me from parts unknown-haha, and then Kimberly did also-Zachary has a cold. It's nice to have family attending church together!!! The kids made it back to Maryland safely-thank you Jesus for that and Christopher just got home also. Gotta run and do some lunch preparation from the bed for making fresh tea.

The kids are going to be here tomorrow sometime and we're so excited to see them. I know they are looking forward to getting here for a few days. Hello everyone. Today was my chemo treatment # 4 along with my Dr. visit. Dr. Brook's said I was doing well, and he was pleased with my progress. I had one of of the Cancer marker tests back and it was all within normal limits so I was excited about it. Praise the Lord. My treatment was about 3 hours so it was a shorter day. The grand children will be here on Sunday so I'm going to rest as much as I can this week so I'll hopefully feel good while they are here. We can't wait to see them and they are excited to be coming down. We're already trying to make some plans for them, I just hope I can participate in the plans but at least they'll understand what's going on with me. As long as they see that I'm healthy and doing well, then that's okay. Unfortunately my last treatment has to be the day that they come for Christmas. I was hoping to put it off for a week but Dr. Brooks said that I needed to keep to the schedule. I will also have the PET scan the week they are here. I'll be glad to start the new year with good results. I hope you all have a good evening and a great rest of the week. Love you all.

Arbuckle Wilderness!!!!

What an exciting night!! We had dinner with friends and we're watching the election returns. I'm getting ready to go to bed though in a just a little bit!!! I can't believe we're already in November!!! Time goes too quickly. So much goes on this month. Birthdays, my favorite holiday-Thanksgiving and OF COURSE my MOST favorite shopping day plus we watch Chevy Chase's Christmas Vacation. So many traditions and so much thankfulness. Well who looks better in the wig, Bryan or I? hahaha. Everyone still says that I'm doing the buzz cut "well". It doesn't bother me one way or the other. To me, I look strange with hair this color and this length. Bryan likes it though. Yesterday at the office, it was so funny. I was wearing my wig into get my blood drawn and the girls were asking me about how my hair was doing. I told them it was growing and pulled my wig off to show them. When they finished, we walked back out to the waiting room and this woman did a double take at me. I laughed and said, "they took more than my blood!" It was so funny. She said, "I didn't realize you were even wearing a wig!" Funny day. I wan't you to hear that story. I have a picture of the cutest little skunk in the world. He was a skunk for trick or treating the other night and he looks so sweet. I want to add his picture also.I wish we had a picture of Caleb and Caitlyn in their costumes. Hey everyone, We are doing okay. I had a long day today, I had to get my blood work done . We went to Kimberly's house for dinner tonight. She cooked us a wonderful dinner to help celebrate our 40th year wedding anniversary. Ruby is the color for 40 for we wore red, had red plates, napkins, etc. We had red skinned potatoes, stuffed tomatoes, etc. It was wonderful. She worked so hard all day to fix stuff and to make it a great day. We had a nice time thanks to the Cornelius family! Well, I'm heading for bed now so write more later.

Good morning to everyone. Well, today is Saturday! Where did Thursday and Friday go? Oh yeah, I was in bed. I'll probably be there today also although I DO feel a little better this morning. I slept better last night so that's good. It's such a beautiful day out there. A little windy maybe and cool but hopefully it'll warm up some.

Zachary came over yesterday in his little skunk costume. Oh my gosh, how cute!!!! I'll have to get some pictures for you to see. I texted Caleb and Caitlyn yesterday also which we do all the time, but they never text back. At least they know we're thinking of them. They aren't encouraged in any way to keep in touch with us and that's very sad. We just keep praying for them and loving them long distanced. I do have a box to send but was hoping to get my movie completed before sending the box. I now wish I hadn't bought an Apple as I struggle to use it. It's nice and it's supposed to be easier but this old dog has a hard time.

The town of Lucas is having a fun day today with lots of activities and then Trunk or Treat. I have the candy but the car isn't decorated. Can only do a little bit of stuff. Well, I'm going to go this morning and I hope you all have a good day and an enjoyable weekend.

He also said that I may be in the 5% group of people that don't totally loose their hair!!! Woo-hoo!!! I'm doing good so far this morning. The treatment went well yesterday and I had the pleasure of my son, Christopher, coming down for a little bit. He's been worried because he's had to work everytime I have something done. Good morning to all my friends and family. I hope you have a wonderful day today. Just thought I'd update you as to the happenings around here for the next several days. Tomorrow is my 3rd chemo treatment!!! I can't believe I'm 1/2 of the way done! Thank You Jesus! Today I start the steroids and insulin again. I think these 3 days are almost my hardest because I HAVE to eat something and I'm not always hungry-especially days 2 and 3. I also see my oncologist tomorrow so I can't wait to find out when we'll do the PET scan or CT or whatever will be done. I can't wait for him to see how much hair I truly do have even though it's a burr. I just didn't like seeing it fall out when I brushed my hair-now I don't have to brush it!! Yeah!!! Got my wig "adjusted" yesterday but it was giving me a headache. I may not even wear it much-we'll see. Everyone says I can do "bald" well, so if it's an encouragement to women or men for that matter to see someone not worrying about how superficial hair is then maybe that's one of the testimonies He has for me to share. It's what is on the inside that counts!!! Jesus loves us no matter what! Big, small, hairy, bald, etc. Get to know Him, He's your BEST FRIEND!!! Ask Him to share your life with you and you'll NEVER be alone!!! Have a wonderful day today.

Hello everyone!!! Well, it's been a busy week and weekend. We had a family wedding and have a ball at it. Zachary really had fun at the wedding. There was music and dancing and he loved it!!!! I went to get my blood work done today and so my white count was low so I'm on antibiotics just in case. Oh I want you to see the new "me". My head reminds me of a young appaloosa that is beginning to "spot out". I have white hair on one side, a polka dot (dark) on the other side and the back is multicolored! I'll add some pictures of some of my hats and wigs but I don't want to do it all at once. My hair was just coming out in handfuls and I was self conscience about it falling out and being all over my clothes or in my food or I'd find it in my mouth during the night. 3rd chemo is next Monday and then I'm 1/2 way done!!! Praise the Lord. I'm really doing well and I'm looking forward to my next scan. As the story about David and Goliath goes, I have thrown 2 stones so far and just have 4 more. Speaking of David and Goliath, I was so excited because when my friend Cheryl went to Israel, she was in the valley where David picked up his stones. She picked some up and brought me one!!! I'm so happy about it. It's in the little bag I have that holds my holding cross. It stays by my bed and is in my hand during chemo and also in my hand when I'm praying. Thank you so much Cheryl for the stone. It's so neat to me. Kimberly is now 4 months along now and doing well. Zachary is talking more and more everyday. He can say "baby, Duchess, Poppy, tries to say Kodi, etc" He's so busy. Whenever he sees pictures of Caleb and Caitlyn , he gets so excited and points at them and tries to say their names. He's such a sweet little guy. We miss Caleb and Caitlyn and we try to talk to them, but that's hard to work out. Our times coming though-they will be here for Thanksgiving and so we'll be happy to see them down here. We'll do our "family Christmas" pictures while they are here. Well, gonna go and get to bed so you all take care and know we are doing well.

I couldn't get the other picture up-just the first one!!! She's beautiful!! Well, I haven't written on this in awhile. Sorry. I've been busy!!! Gee, what have I been up to???? I've had 2 treatments now, hair is thinning and is disappearing, nausea occ. but praise God no vomiting. Well, we found out that Kimberly and Les are having a little GIRL!!!! Yeah!! exciting for all of us. My brother came to visit for a couple of days and we surprised him and celebrated his birthday while he was here. I think he was surprised that we went to the effort. It was worth it all!!! Zachary is growing like a weed, he's now 18 months old and on his way to 19 months old. Caleb and Caitlyn are doing okay, I guess. I haven't gotten to talk to them in a few days. So sad. Love those kids so much. We're enjoying our new church and I'm just so blessed. When I don't feel like going, I watch it online which is great. The website is www.cbclucas.org and you can go to video monitoring and watch services live during the times or recorded. The thing is if it's supposed to be on, then give it a minute or a little while because of HIPPA, the pastor can't give names and faces during prayer times so just hang on and it'll come on. It's very exciting and I'm so blessed to be a part of such an awesome church!!! Not much else going on right now so I'll go and you all have a great day. Have a wonderful weekend.

Good morning world, I'm so sorry I haven't written in awhile but I'm been "under the weather" as you know. I feel a little stronger today. I felt a lot stronger yesterday and so I inadverantly stayed up to long and now I'm tired again. Chemo week is tough!!! All I can say-tearful, tiring, sleepless, drink this, drink that, etc. I know this week will be better. Not a lot going on PTL but I go for my first blood counts this morning to see how it goes. Then hopefully, lunch at Furr's for some super iron building goodies liver liver/onions/spinach, etc. Well, Kimberly starts week #15 tomorrow. So exciting!!! October 4th is the gender 3-d day. Can't wait-it's the day before the #2 stone is being thrown at Goliath!! Zachary is 18 months old and boy does he jabber and jabber. He's such a cutie. I wish we could talk to Caleb and Caitlyn more but they aren't encouraged to talk to us. So sad. They're always in our prayers on a daily basis. I hope Caleb is enjoying his Nutella that we sent him. He loves that stuff and in fact, I'm having it for breakfast!!! Little things like this, we can do to stay close to them or at least try to stay close to them. I got to talk to Dr. Laidley's nurse this afternoon. So sweet for her to call. She told me I could shoer and take off the patch so I was so glad that I could because the tape was irritating my skin. My chemo #1 is tomorrow. A little nervous but Jesus Christ is carrying me right now. I'm going to sleep well as I'm not leaning on my understanding and He says He'll make my sleep well. So I'm heading to bed. I stayed home all day today because I did too much yesterday. Our church has our services online so I was still in church today. That is so wonderful because I can watch in "live time" and that's great. So good night everyone and I'll try and talk tomorrow.

Boy, what a day yesterday was!!! I got the port but definitely feel as if I've been run over by a truck or something to that extent. I'm in pain from the insertion of the port but it will fade. I'm glad I decided not to do chemo on the same day of the insertion. I'm going to get my wig today and get it fixed. It should be interesting. Several friends are going with me including my best friend, Kimberly C. I have such wonderful friends. Our pastor has already called this morning also. We are so blessed. I was reading scripture last night- Psalm 27. He's going to make cancer fall!! The Lord is the stronghold of my life-of whom shall I be afraid? Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear, though war break out against me, even then will I be confident. So... BRING ON THE CHEMO AND LET'S GET THE CANCER GONE!!! Hello everyone!!!!! Well, we have some exciting news today on 2 fronts!!! The first front is that the cancer is going to be more receptive to the drug Herceptin than we thought it was. I'm so thrilled!!! The next thing is that the Dr. thinks the new baby is going to be a girl. That's so exciting!!! We saw her moving around today, kicking, squirming, fingers in her mouth, you could see her spine growing, and her little feet and hands and legs. It was so exciting to see her moving around. Her heart rate was 156 . I don't care what it really is, I just want a healthy little baby to love on and adore. God's timing is so perfect!!! We are so grateful for all that is going on right now from cancer to pregnancy!!! God's faithfulness is so awesome!!!!

Good morning world!!!! We are home from vacation and already missing the boat. Today is "chemo school" for me today. Bryan, Kimberly, and Zachary will be going with me. More sets of ears are better than just one. I know the Lord is carrying me though right now so I'm leaning on Him!!! I can't believe that we are already into September!!! Oh my goodness. Hi everyone, Well here is the latest update on what's going on with me. Dr. Brook's office called today and said that the cancer is the very same as before. He told me to get the medi-port scheduled for next week and then chemo to follow. I'll be calling Dr. Laidley in the morning to get that scheduled. I'm going to a wig store tomorrow. I don't really know if I want a wig or not but my friend suggested it so I'll go take a look at them and see what I think. I'm not a scarf person or a turban person but I can do a ball cap if it isn't too big and sticks out all over. I want big bright gawdy earrings!!!! I told Kimberly that she will maybe need to make me wear some make-up so I will look like I'm alive. Philippians 3:13-14 have been meaning a lot to me lately. Read it and you'll understand why. Well, not much else going on right now so I'll close and do some other stuff. Love ya'll.

Good morning everyone, Well today is going to be an awesome day in the Lord. Anew refreshing visit with the Lord at a new church!!! All things are new because the old has passed away. I wish them "luck" because the church is God's church and not man's church. May HE be glorified only. Christopher and the kids made it to Maryland okay and Christopher is on his drive back to Philadelphia. Boy it would be nice if there was more cooperation in that area like what Philip and Summer do. Oh well, maybe some day. If not though... It's so quiet this morning-no sweet little girl saying, "Grammy, there's the hummingbird's!!" in an excited little anxious voice. No other little bigger voice saying, "can I have nutella for breakfast? I LOVE that stuff!!!" Precious children. Now, I'll take the time to put all their pictures together so they can remember their summer and know they didn't sit around doing nothing. It also gives them ideas for next year!!! This is my newest creation in hats. A sweet woman that I don't know by the name of Kim sent me another cancer hat representing uterine cancer. It's in the middle as it's the first cancer that I had. I hope you all like it. I'm trying to be upbeat about all of this. Everyone says that it my personality that will get me through this latest cancer. No, it's GOD that is going to get me through this!!! My family and friends will play a VERY BIG part in my recovery!! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Good morning satan, I'm awake!!! Well, yesterday was a long day! So, here it is all in a nutshell. I will start chemo when we are ready to go. I have to have a port so Dr. Laidley will insert that after we see each other again. Dr. Brook's said that I will have 6 treatments 3 weeks apart so that totals 18 weeks. I will have 3 drugs and it will take 4 hours to infuse each them. About 2 weeks after the first infusion I will loose my hair. So, we'll see what goes on. I may have nausea 2-3 days following treatments, I will probably be tired, I can exercise if I feel like it. Anyway, I know that God has a plan for me and I'm going to follow his plan. He also said for this to reoccur after 6 years is also rare. I already knew I was a rare and different. Anyway, I'm looking up and I'm praying up and preparing for this new trial. God is so good!!! Good evening friends and family. Well, I have two Dr. appts on Thursday. The first is to get the stitches out and the 2nd is with the chemo Dr. Can't wait to see what the next act of the play is or should I say to start down the first big hill in the front seat of the coaster. It's a sad week because the kids go back to Maryland Sat. I'm already dreading it. They are so important to us. We will see them in November so that's not too far away. I have such wonderful friends who pray for me and my family daily. I'm excited about what the future holds and many new opportunities to share my cancer testimony with others. I went shopping today for a bunch of Clayton's supplies so he's all fixed up for awhile which is good. He's doing well, praise God. Not much more to share at this point in time so I'll go. Hey everyone, Well today is Sunday and hopefully I'm not as goofy as I was Friday and Saturday. I'm still a little tired, have a little pain(who wouldn't with a 2-3 inch incision) but I did get up, showered, put on some clothes and back in bed. I've been reading on cancer, different therapies, types of treatments. It's all so confusing to me. You almost don't know WHO to believe!!!! I don't want to be a guinea pig but I don't want to be just putting bucks into some big companies pockets either. God, What do I do? I know-I keep praying for HIS perfect will and His perfect plan. He'll give it to me because He knows I'm asking. Thank you ahead of time for the answer. I hope my blogs can be uplifting to all of you during this time of trial. James says to "consider it pure joy when we faces trials of many kinds because perserverance helps us to grow stronger in Him. and besides, growing stronger in the Lord makes satan angry!!! Good morning everyone!!! I'm praising God this morning because I ended up with no J. P. drain!! As far as I knew going into surgery, I would come home with a drain for at least 2 weeks. The oncologist told Dr. Laidley to only remove the cancerous node and leave as much as they could of the rest of the nodes. I may be ignorant (probably am), but I see that as a miracle and a wonderful thing from God. Anyway, I'm praising His holy name. This is the day the Lord has made-I am rejoicing in it. I've had "breakfast in bed" and have my computer with me. I'm just so happy!!! I know yesterday if I spoke with you and you wondered why I sounded loopy, I was. I don't remember who I talked to or what I said. Anyway, I'm blessed. Well, it's time to rock and roll. As I board the roller coaster I wanted to share a picture of one of my best friends, Cheryl, and I while we were on a roller coaster in Disney World. The Yetti was after us!! Both Cheryl and I have had a trying month. Me being diagnosed with cancer and Cheryl losing her job after 16 years. I am praying that all I'm going through will help to encourage her to hang on and wait on the Lord for what He has for her. She's as afraid as I am but over different things. I hope to be an encouragement to all of those I know and love. I arrive at the hospital at 10am with surgery at 11am. I should be home probably around 5-6 pm. I'll just be glad to get this first part over with. At least from there, then we can progress onto whatever has to be done to completely kill these cancer cells out! Thank you all for all the prayers said on my behalf. I'm doing great-just trusting in Him and waiting on Him to so I can mount up with wings as eagles. Every scripture passage that I have just turned to or read about, for the most part has been about trust. So, Jesus, I'm trusting You because You know the plan that You have for me. Hello everyone, Well the countdown is like 1 1/2 days or so til surgery. I can't wait to get it over with. I talked a long time with a nurse from Medical City with a 6 page paper to fill out over the phone. We had a great day today. Kimberly and I took the kids to the C. R. Smith Museum at the training academy for American Airlines. My dad was a personal friend of C. R. many years ago. While there, we got to go into the training academy and look at "the wall" of honor you might say for those men that did great things for American Airlines and also for the people of the U. S. My dad is on that wall for several distinguished service awards! Caleb and Caitlyn were thrilled to learn more about Grandpa Brown and to go into one of the first airplanes that I ever flew in! They were shocked!!! We took many things to the museum that will be helpful in telling others all about AA in the "early days". Great fun. Be praying for Dr. Laidley and Sheryl, her assistant, that helps with surgery. Pray for my family also. I have a few new pictures to add to this page so here it goes. I'll see if I can do these in an orderly fashion. Yeah right.This is Caitlyn's Mutton Busting award that she got for being an excellent mutton buster!Here I am in my creation. Well, here I am again. I've had a great day. Did some errands with a friend and laughed a lot. I'm very excited also. On Wed. we are taking the kids to the C. R. Smith museum and also to the American Airlines training center. I'm taking some historical things to the museum which is all about American Airlines. Then we are going to the training center to read and see the "wall" that they have there for employees that have done a lot of good things not only for AA but also for the preservation of our great country and many history things. That's where my dad fits in. He was very active with his 33 years of flying for AA. He also did many great and wonderful things for his fellow human beings. It will be so neat to see "the wall" again because it's been years since we were allowed to go into the training center for the pilots as well as the flight attendants. Caleb is very excited and so is Caitlyn. They want to learn all about the good things that Grandpa Brown did while he was alive and the lasting impressions that my dad left on people. One of the things my dad did was to save an airplane, crew, passengers back in the 70's when he was hit by a tornado. There was no knowledge at the time about "straight line winds" and not only did daddy experience a tornado in the air but also experienced the first straight line winds that everyone survived. He received not 1 but 2 distinguished awards from AA for doing what he did to help in the survival of everyone. This is a man that barely got out of high school!! My dad was a brillant man. He was also a great history buff. I could go on and on about him and all the wonderful things he did in his life. The kids and I were working on the "ministry opportunity" that our church is doing in a couple of weeks. They both picked out 2 sets of clothes for boys and girls, help purchase new socks, underwear, etc. We took it all to church today along with the water they need, cookies also. They were very happy to be serving others. I'm so glad they are here. I told them they could even help me after surgery and they are so willing to be involved. Thank you Lord for these 2 wonderful kids. I'm going to have to change my description of myself because we are expecting another grandbaby in March. While Kimberly and I were looking at "the blob with a heartbeat" I was searching for a pink bow. Nothing yet-ha. It won't be til October that we hopefully will find out what "it" is. Right now, it is Baby C #2. Caleb and Caitlyn were so thrilled to find out about another cousin!!! Excited isn't a word I'd use-more like delirious!!! When they come in the spring, the baby should be here. That's so neat for them to be here about the time it comes. Well, I'm going to go for now. That's all the news I have. I'm at peace with this week, looking forward to moving on, and I know that Jesus is holding my hand and leading me into this next valley. It's going to be okay. He is in control. Hello everyone, Well, the roller coaster is for sure loaded now. Today was my pre-op appt. for surgery on Friday the 13th. It's a great day for me because my beloved daddy was born on the 13th and the year he turned 13, it was Friday the 13th so I'm not worried. Well, my final diagnosis is metastatic breast cancer. Yep, it's the same as I had 6 years ago. Even the oncologist is upset because my chances of reoccurrance was so low-15%. To go 6 years is strange also. Oh well, here I am at the "now". No "what if's" over the last 6 years. That year I got to enjoy my then little Caleb for a month and if I had chemo, he couldn't have come down. MUCH more important to be with him!! I will have chemo this time and no radiation. There is also cancer in my sternum which will be effected by the chemo. Radiation only if there is pain so I'm grateful that there is no pain. Hello everyone, Well, can't sleep so I thought I'd just update my blog. As of last blog, the tests were all done and I was waiting on results. Well, let me back up a little. Friday evening, we didn't get to go to the rodeo. Caleb fell and broke his wrist-a buckle fracture. He was so very brave in ER and on Monday, he got a blue cast with a red stripe. That's exactly what he wanted. The Dr. had him supervise putting it on. He (Caleb) is so sweet. Do you know they have been praying about this cancer. God is so sweet. Anyway, he can still swim so he was thrilled to death. In fact, he went yesterday afternoon!!! Anyway, moving on. The results are in-glad finally but I've just been waiting on the Lord. There is no cancer in my abdomen. There is a little cancer in my sternum, Dr. Laidley will be removing the cancerous lymph node on the right along with a few others to check them. They haven't "staged" the cancer yet, so that will happen. The lymph node on the left may come out too. I will have chemo in order to kill the cells in the sternum. How can my witness be real effective if I don't go through all the stages of cancer- like chemo? I have to be able to empathize with others. Anyway, surgery is supposed to be next week so I'll keep everyone posted.

My brother crossed the gulf today heading back from Key West. It was a long day for him and the dog, I'm sure. He doesn't want to be around for any storms that maybe heading across the Atlantic-like Colin. I'm glad he's closer. Keep him in your prayers as he travels west.

We're taking the kids to the circus I think on Saturday. They don't know it yet. We'll ride DART and go to the American Airlines Center. Should be fun. Zachary, I'm sure, will be amazed.

Tonight we went to the Purple Cow and watched outside the water/music/light show. It was enjoyable and then we went and had ice cream. Everyone's asleep but me!!! (and the others out driving on the road).

With it being so late, I hope the raccoon comes to check out the feeders. I keep watching for him/her. They are so much fun to watch.

Caitlyn and Caleb both baked a cake in Caitlyn's easy bake oven. It was a fun-fetti cake and they iced them. They turned out really good. That machine is amazing-who would have ever thought that you could bake a cake using a powerful light bulb! Caitlyn wants to make the pretzels next. She loves to cook with me and I'm so glad she does. Well, gonna try and get some sleep so you all sleep well also.

Sunday, The day before all the tests reports come in. I hope. I'll be glad to know the results and hopefully we'll know the plan as soon as possible. I'm ready to move on and get the roller coaster moving and get it all over behind me. We have the kids only 3 more weeks. The time goes too fast when they are here. I'm so happy that we have Jesus supporting us and helping us to explain to them how a true christian handles bad situations. We love those kids so much. I don't know if you've heard or not, but we have another grand baby coming!!! In March, 2011 Zachary is going to be a big brother. It's exciting. Well, I'll keep you all posted on results!!! Hello everyone, Well, today I had my PET scan today and we'll get those reports on Monday. I've never had an IV in my foot before. That smarted. I'd much rather have it somewhere else!! From there, we'll plan on what to do. I was a little disappointed that we don't have a plan yet but God already knows the plan and that's all I need to know. I'm relying on Him. Did you know that cancer cells LOVE sugar???? I didn't! Know one ever told me that. My diet has changed for sure!! I hope it's not too late. The PET scan uses glucose to get into the cancer cells. That just blows my mind. As one writer says, sugar is a poison to the cancer patient!!! There is also other things we can change our diet with to help prevent cancer. As I study more, I'll let you know what I discover. Well, gang, I'm going to bed. Tired and it was a long day. By the way, the roller coaster got the brakes put on for the weekend. Maybe next week, it'll start climbing that first hill again.

Good morning, Well yesterday I climbed aboard the roller coaster and got the tests all behind me. I feel great!! I'm anxiously awaiting the results and to "git 'er done" . Jesus is truly walking with me. 1 Peter 5:8 says to be aware and ALERT because the devil prowls around seeking who he can devour. He tried to devour me with cancer and because God, through my alertness, guided me to ask "what's that" and so again satan's plan to destroy me has failed! I FIRMLY believe that and if you don't read for yourself. I have read the end of "the book" and I know I'm the ultimate winner along with King Jesus!!! I've got things to do today to keep me busy til I hear from Dr. Laidley. I'm hopefully going with a friend Thursday because she has to have 2 biopsies done. I've been witnessing to another friend also. God is so good!!!! ALL THE TIME NO MATTER THE CIRCUMSTANCE!!! May HE only be glorified through this. Have a great and wonderful day!!!

Good Morning to you all my friends. I want you to "know how I am doing". God is so good to send me soooo many friends, prayers, phone calls. I just visited with a very long time friend of mine who works in radiology and was telling me a little of what to expect during the new test that I'm having done on Monday. Thank you Peggy for being there for me. I really am doing very well, just past the shock now and ready to get moving!!! I wish Monday was here and then results day and then "the plan of attack" day. Let's getting it going. I'm so thankful to God for His love of me and all the "God things" He allows to happen in my life. For those of you that don't know, God delivered me of uterine cancer. He just kept after me encouraging me to not stop trying to see what was wrong with me. After the hysterectomy, everything looked great until the day I went home when my Dr. told me I had uterine cancer and would have to undergo another surgery. That's a God thing. ALL 40-50 nodes in my abdomen were clear. Praise the Lord. If I'd have had my mammo the month it was due 6 years ago, breast cancer would have been missed so I praise God for reminding me that I had missed the appt time. I went in and wa-la I had breast cancer. Had I gone in Feb. , it would have been missed but because I went in April, they found it. It had a growth rate of 50% so at another year, it would have been too late. Now 6 years later, here I am again-starting down this path. God is walking besides me, around me, through me, etc. The Footprints Prayer or story is applicable here. No, I don't know what the future holds but I DO KNOW Who holds the future in His hands. He promised to Never leave me or forsake me and He won't!!!! I told Bryan the other day that I felt like he had married a "lemon" because of all the medical problems I've had. He said that he loves lemonade and it made me smile. Thank you Bryan. That meant SOOOO MUCH to me!!! I'm humbled by the love that everyone has shown. I don't like having to be on the receiving end-I'm the giver so this is hard for me. Thank you all for your great love of me and my family and if I don't know you, keep watching this blog because I want you to see how the love of Jesus forgives us and He's there for you to. All you have to do is to tell Him that you are a sinner. We ALL are, I am, my husband is, my pastor even is. Anyway, tell Him you are a sinner, ask Him to forgive you of your sins and to come into your life and be the Lord of your life. He will immediately. He doesn't promise us a "worry free" life but He promises to walk through everything with you. He does, I KNOW because I've had to walk through many a heartache and problems but I love Him more each day, want to serve Him more each day. Hi everyone, Well, I'm much better today. I had the neatest experience last night. Two of our pastors came over with about 15 others and they anointed me with oil and prayed for me. I so appreciated it. It was a refreshing time of prayer and the Holy spirit being involved. Thank you so much for those at church. It was so neat also-Caleb and Caitlyn wanted to be involved. They anointed me with oil also and have been praying. I love those kids so much. Thank you Jesus for this time I have with them. I'm doing a lot better-I'll be glad when Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday gets here!!! Let's get the ball rolling and get this thing taken care of. Just keep us all in your prayers through the next weeks. I'll try to keep you all updated as I know anything.

Dear All, Well, the results were not good for me today. I have breast cancer again. This time it's on the right side and it's in a node. I don't know anything else at this time except I have to have a full body MRI and some CT scans. Just keep me in your prayers. Well, I put a few pictures of the trip on here for you to enjoy. Now for the day I had. 1st this morning, I had to go to the "hand surgeon" to see how the break is doing. My hand is healing very slowly so he has curtailed my "right hand activity" for another month because I'm still in pain. Oh well, at least he said we're not looking at surgery because I am building new bone. Praise the Lord. Next, I had to have another biopsy today. My mammogram was great but my Dr. noticed a 1 cm. lymph node that didn't look right. She took samples of it today for slides and also a little of the node. She said that if she doesn't like the results, she will take it out. I hope I don't have to have surgery!! I'm just praying and I know that God is in control. satan won't defeat me, I just praise God for putting Dr. Laidley into my life!! I adore her-she's such an awesome Dr. Anyway, I should find out the results Wed. but probably Thursday. I'll keep you posted as to the developments. Hello everyone, Well, we had a great trip to Branson with the kids.

Caitlyn dipped candles while at Silver Dollar City.

We are at the Saloon show here. The kids enjoyed the show.

Caleb watched Tom put his name on Caleb's bat. Caleb also added a cross to it. Tom put his initials on the end of the bat. He really enjoyed watching everything that happened.

Well, this was the end of a very full day at Silver Dollar City!!! Caleb and I had gone in the cave and rode a couple of rides but mostly it was pretty hot!! We had a good time in Branson. I still have some more pictures to put on the computer but I haven't had time to do it yet. We did quite a few things while we were there. More later.

I forgot to add with the rodeo pictures that Caleb WON the modified calf scramble last night!! He won $25.00. Instead of chasing the calf because of all the mud, they had to run from one side of the arena to the other. He pulled his boots, socks off, and then took off and beat all the kids! It would take me a hour or more to write about all that we have done. We're trying to do some educational stuff also besides just fun---but mostly fun. One thing we don't do is "play video games and watch tv all the time". That's for sure not good. These are a couple of pics of the rodeos. We've been to 2 but just only put in 1 or 2 pictures. We've had Sammie and Lindy's birthday luau!!! Complete with outfits, leaving tomorrow for Missouri for several days and then the rest of the time, we'll be around home swimming, playing with friends, and many more things. I hope you all enjoy this little bit of Heaven for us!!! The video STILL isn't uploaded!!!

I hope the movie goes here! It's just one of the MANY movies we took at Arkbuckle Wilderness Area in Oklahoma. We had an absolute ball!!! It was a really neat day trip. I hope this video uploads okay. It's taking a long time!!!

This is a picture of Turner Falls in Oklahoma. We stopped by there after the Arbuckle Wilderness.
This was taken at the timeshares indoor waterpark in E. Texas. We were there several days and really enjoyed this park. Lazy river, wave pool, slides of all kinds, you name and we all did it!!

Good evening everyone. I wanted to share some sweet pictures and sweet moments with family and friends so far this summer. The kids are absolutely WONDERFUL!!! We are having such a great time with them. I put as much as I can on here. First, we had their birthday parties. Kimberly made their cakes. An Explorer type of vehicle for Caleb and an Ariel cake for Caitlyn. We had it at the waterpark with many in attendance. I didn't take pictures of all the people there!!

We are having such a wonderful time with the kids so far!!! Christopher and I took them to Arbuckle Wilderness on Monday and we were mauled by all the llamas, camels, donkeys, etc. I'll have to post the movie later if possible. Tonight we're going to try and go to the Blue Ridge Rodeo. It is looking a little rainy but the weather is supposed to move on. Mutton Busting is full so Caitlyn can't participate tonight. We'll have to get to another rodeo for that. Right now, they are swimming with Poppy at the natatorium. They've been there 3 1/2 hours so far!! Poppy will be pooped!! They won't though. Well, have a wonderful evening.

I have a couple of cute pictures of Zachary I'm going to include. After Sunday, I'll have more pictures with Caleb and Caitlyn in them!!!! Christopher leaves on Saturday to go and get them. We have several things planned so far for them. Birthdays, swimming parties, you name it and we'll do it. We're going on vacation also. One place is to the timeshares in E. Texas. Anyway, I wanted to put these pictures on. The first one is Zachary touching and feeding the dolphin at Sea World in San Antonio. The other cute one is of him after he put sand in his mouth. You all aren't going to believe this!!! Well, our trip to Key West with Larry was so much fun and I'd go again in a minute. I don't remember if I blogged about slipping down an embankment and hurting my left leg and my right hand. Well, it's continued to bother me-the hand that is ever since we got home so I went to see the greatest nurse practioner- Ms. Stephanie and she ordered x-rays. The report came back that "there is suspicion that there is a fracture in one of the bones in my hand just above my wrist!!!" I've NEVER had a broken bone so now on Monday, the day after the kids get here, I have to go to the orthopaedic Dr. to see if it's broken. Ohhhh man!!! I can't believe this. Oh well, like Kimberly says, God is in control and He knows what He's doing!!! Praise Your Holy Name, Jesus. Anyway, I'll keep you posted. We had a great vacation in the Hill Country and even went to Sea World in San Antonio. Bryan had never been there and we had a great time. Well, gonna go for now cause the wrist is beginning to ache since I have the brace off. I can't type with the brace on and besides, it needs a break-a little play on words there!!!

Okay you all, twice in 2 days!! I'm posting. I'm so excited that we got Caleb AND Caitlyn's "code" for their pictures in Maryland playing sports. The man at the place where we ordered Caleb's kindly looked Caitlyn's up for me. Thank you group photographers for doing that. We appreciate it very much. They aren't the best looking yet as they copies of copies but that'll do until we get the real thing. We have a little over 2 weeks before they come for the summer. We're so excited and so are they. We have ALOT planned even though their letters didn't come back that we asked them to fill out, which they did. It was a letter to each of them, letting us know what kind of things they'd like to do over the summer. We were told they were mailed, but haven't made it. Anyway, we don't need letters to tell us what our grandchildren enjoy!!! Hope you like their pictures. By the way, Zachary is "Officially" walking now all by himself! Hard to believe he's growing so fast. Anyway, just wanted to post Caleb and Caitlyns pictures.

Hey everyone, Sorry it's been so long since I blogged. I've been out of town for a week and getting ready to leave again. We were in Key West for 1 week on board my brother's 52 foot cruiser. Did I scare you just a little bit. Well, here is Cigano-all 52 feet of her.

I'm so happy for my brother Larry.

We saw some beautiful sunsets while we were there and just as beautiful water. We went out to the Marquesas Keys, west of Key West and also to Boco Grande. AWESOME!!! The water is so pretty, clear, greenish-blue, etc. The bottom was about 6-8 feet deep. By the way, this is Segundo-the dingy.

We were blessed enough to get to also see the natural phenomon called, The Green Flash! It occurs at dusk as the sun is setting. It happens so fast and I couldn't get it onto the camera very

successfully. We had such a great time swimming, boating, talking, eating, etc. Larry's hospitality was awesome and we really did have a great time. We hope to meet him maybe this summer on the Ten-Tom Waterway. We'll see. Here are more shots that we took while there.

Good morning everyone, Well today I'm happy to report that we are once again "grandparents." The wild finches had a baby in the cowboy boot on the back porch. There was only 1 baby. Now that it has learned to fly-practicing in the garage, the little family has flown off. :( I have another sinus infection this week-slowly getting better. Gee, I can't believe it's been so long since I wrote on my blog. Many things have happened since then. Kimberly is now a Pampered Chef chef and doing well. Kimberly, Zachary and I went to Missouri last week because we were putting new flowers on graves of my family. My mom and I used to make little fun trips so we decided that we wanted to do the same thing. Springfield was just the first trip of hopefully many to come. We had a great time. Zachary is now 14 months old today-that's hard to believe also. Bryan and I are going to Key West next week to see my brother Larry who lives on his boat, Cigano. We'll be there for a week and then we'll get back, have a party for the twins and be ready to leave again for the Silverleaf timeshare in Canyon Lake, Texas. Shortly after that, Caleb and Caitlyn will be arriving for the summer!!! So excited about that!! We have vacation plans galore with them, so it'll be a busy summer. I've included a couple of pictures of Z and later on, there will be MANY of Caleb and Caitlyn!!! I am going to try and download a cute video of Bryan and Duchess. I hope you all have a great week. Well, Kimberly and I made our first candles today. They are little ones to be used as a little gift after our Pampered Chef party on Monday evening. Man, do they smell good!!!! It was fun, east, quick. I think we'll enjoy making things like this. We are both "crafty" in a good way. Well, we are probably a little "crafty" in a different way too. ha ha Well, gotta go for now so take care.

I know, I know, it's been AGES since I wrote!!!! Sorry to you all. It's a beautiful day here on the acre and I've been enjoying it alot. I planted 3 knock-out rose bushes this morning. Everything is blooming so beautifully. Bryan is feeling so much better than he was over the last 2 weeks. He had a bad sinus infection and he's finally better. Even Duchess' allergies have been bad. She's on medication to. The kids' fort/swingset is all finished except for water proofing. I did a little patch this afternoon to see how it dries and what it looks like. We are excited for Kimberly. She is starting her own Pampered Chef business and she and I are going to start a candle business with difusers, sprays, etc. It's called AngeLove. We are excited about that too. The kids will be here 2 months from today!!!! Yeah!!!! We are working "on their list" of to-do's for the summer. Vacation, swimming, other excitement. Christopher is really liking his new job and we are so happy for him. He's doing well and looking forward to the summer with his children. We miss them so much. Bryan and I are going to Florida-to the keys in May to see my brother Larry again. He's on his boat and it's so nice to get away for a few days. We're excited about that. I'm hoping that my brother Wayne will join us for a couple of days. We'll see. Relay for Life is in 1 1/2 weeks and we're looking forward to that. Should be fun going out there in McKinney for the Survivor lap!!! Well, gonna get going for now so take care, God Bless, and talk to Jesus!!!
