Hey everyone, Miss me???? We had a WONDERFUL vacation with the children. Christopher's work was so wonderful to let him take the week of so he could enjoy the kids on this trip. We were going to leave Monday but I got sick and ended up being in ER in McKinney for several hours. Okay though and we left on Tuesday. Had a wonderful time exploring San Antonio with the children. Pictures will come soon. They loved the riverwalk and boat. Feeding tortilla chips to the ducks from Casa Rio, the market, the bats there-yes they have a bat colony starting there also. We had a great time at Sea World. I want to go back also!! They loved it and want to return also. Their tickets are good until Dec. 31st so when they come back at Christmas, maybe we'll get there again. Sea World was a wonderful place and we could have spent several more days there exploring everything. We didn't get to do everything while we were there. All 3 grandchildren were really so good and we just had a wonderful time. Poor Z, though, he was tired from always having to stay in a car seat or something like that. He wanted to run so bad with C and C he could taste it. They love him and he loves them!! He's going to be lonely when they have to go back to Maryland. We got to Austin to see the bats fly, but our boat trip was cancelled because of a storm. We saw them flying anyway but it WAS disappointing. We may even try to go back before they head back. We'll see though. Bryan's mom continues to be in ever worsening health. We knew that would occur though. Not much else new here but I will post pictures later. Have a great week.

Sunday, July 26, 2009

Well today we celebrated Bryan's birthday tonight with a surprise party for him. It was our family and some close friends and also our grandchildren!! What a blessing. Tomorrow Kimberly, Zachary, Caleb, Caitlyn, and Grammy are heading for San Antonio. We're so excited to be going. I wish Bryan could go but with his mom the way she is, he doesn't want to leave her and I don't blame him. We're going to try and do some other things once we get back. In San Antonio, we're heading for the riverwalk and the boats, Casa Rio restaurant, the market, Sea World, the Alamo, and then when we get to Austin, we'll see the bats flying out from the Congress Ave. bridge. We'll also see the UT campus, the capitol, and other stuff. We'll ride in the bat boat up and down Lady Bird lake. It should be a great mini vacation for the kids and for us to. Well, that's it for now so I'll talk to you all later in the week-maybe.

Here are a few cute pics with the kids. Such a great picture of Grandma and the kids.

Good morning world!!! I know it's 11:26 in the morning and I just got rudely awoken by the bird screaming. I was up all night last night at the hospital and got home around 5am. Matey responded to me when I came home but then ended up squawking at the top of his lungs like a rooster so I had to go ahead and wake up. Oh well, Bryan, Christopher and the kids went to Hawaiian Falls without me :( Too tired to go. There will be plenty of water time with the kids next week. I'm going to add some pictures to this blog in a little while so you can see the kids. So sweet!! Have a great day.

MAN did we have fun last night at the rodeo!!! It was great. Got some cute video's of the kids-Caleb riding the fake bull and Caitlyn riding a real pony. We had a great time and really enjoyed ourselves. Zachary had fun also, for a little while anyway. Well, today is Kimberly's last day to work for MMI. She's quitting to be a fulltime mom and also to help family members when and if they will let her. That's such an important job and she'll be great at it. Say a prayer for Kimberly and Les as they both prayed about it and really feel that is where the Lord is leading them. Read 1 Timothy 5:3-10 and you'll understand. Put a special emphasis on verses 4 and 8. I hope you all have a wonderful day in the Lord and remember that TODAY is the day the Lord hath made-rejoice in it. Love ya.

I see Carlos and Deborah were on here!!!!!!! Yippeeeeeeeee Love ya'll so much
Well, I'm up and at 'em already this morning. Breakfast finished, emails checked, and ready to get going. Today is SAM'S day to replenish stock for my brother's house-his supplies and get some more things for our household. Then, this evening is the Bonham rodeo-yippee, the kids love it!!! The summer is going way too fast!!! I can't believe that we are at the end of July already. Next week will be great also!!! Why?????? We're go to San Antonio for the week. We're seeing the bats in Austin, Seaworld in S. A. and then all the fun stuff in S. A. Kimberly, the kids, and I are going. Bryan's mom's health is failing so he's not going with us. Wish Chrissy could get a day to go but that's okay-we'll have so much fun. The kids are in for a BIG treat!!!! VACATION!!!!! Love it!!! Well, you all have a wonderful day and know I am especially because my grandchildren are here with us!!!! I think I may have told you but Z's blood levels are looking awesome so the Dr. thinks he's "out of the woods" now. Thank you Jesus!!! Your the Lover of my Soul!!

Wednesday, July 22, 2009

Man what a wonderful day today was!!! Kimberly, Z, Caleb, Caitlyn, and I went to the Ft. Worth Zoo today. We had a lot of fun and really enjoyed the day. I'll have to put some pictures on this page. Kimberly even helped hold a python!!! Bryan's mom told her nurse that we had left her for a long time. She didn't realize that it was just me going and not Bryan. She confused also the fact that I have some plans for next week and she thought that we had left and would be gone for a long time. Poor thing-the nurse said that she was really upset. She was going to tell mom that we were home and I was just gone for the day. The kids were great!!!!! They all had so much fun and Z was intrigued with all that he saw. It was fun. Got some good pictures also. Okay, it's late and I'm going to bed so you all have a great night!! Love ya.

Monday, July 20, 2009

Time sure does fly by!! I can't believe how quick it goes. Several things have been going on and it just keeps us hopping. The kids are having fun though. They really enjoy going to the water park more than the natatorium because you can play with water balloons there. Right now, they are out with Poppy shooting the pellet gun while I pay bills. The kids are so precious. They are so loving toward us and just hug us and tell us how much they love us. We're all so happy they are here!!! They are having a slumber party tonight with Les, KK, Zachary. They are REALLY excited because they get to play with Kodi a lot and help Uncle Les do his work. KK and Les love having them with them. The kids adore Zachary!!! Well, gotta go for now and take the kids to KK's after they finish shooting the gun. Have a great week and God Bless.

Sunday, July 19, 2009

Hi Carlos and Deborah!!!!! I'm talking to Carlos right now.

Tuesday, July 14, 2009

Well, an update about Mr. Zachary!!!! He was over 13 1/2 pounds and 25 inches long!!! His blood was so good that he doesn't have to have it rechecked for 4 weeks!!! Yeah Zachary!!! Thank you Jesus. He's fussy today because yesterday is when we went and he got his shots and this morning he wasn't happy at all. Poor little guy!!! Caitlyn went with me yesterday also. She got to meet all of his Dr.'s-from the hematologist that diagnosed him to the neonatologist who treated him when he was first born. Caleb couldn't go because he had dodgeball camp at church yesterday afternoon. He said that next year, he'd like to do basketball camp so we'll bank that in the ole brain so we can remember when next year rolls around. Today is our son in laws birthday!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO LES!!!! We are SO blessed to have him as a son. God blessed us with 1 biological son and 1 son by marriage. We have a HOST of other "sons" that we love too but these 2 of ours are different. God Blessed us with one daughter and I am praying for another "daughter" and hopefully some day we'll get the RIGHT one!!! That's what we want--the RIGHT one not just ANYONE but THE ONE. We have a host of other "daughter's" also and we love them too. Well, I had to go back to the Dr. today and got a shot of steroid. I think it's already helping me. My cough is terrible and it hurts to cough so much-but I can't help it. I have a sinus infection and fluid in my right ear. That's the ear it's always in. Oh well, you all have a great day and God Bless You.

Saturday, July 11, 2009

Hello everyone, Well, it's the weekend!!!! I can't believe it. The kids are having fun with their daddy today. We have Z and Kodi here tonight because Kimberly and Les are at the Ladona rodeo and dance and they are celebrating Les' birthday. I hope they have fun. I tell ya what-that Kodi is a brat!!! She's sweet though. We played ball in the yard for awhile and she is good at fetching and bringing it back to you. She sits, goes down, shakes, says her prayers so far. That's good for being a puppy. She also ilkes to CHEW on ANYTHING she can get those teeth on!!!! Well, I'm going to wake Z up, bathe him, and give him a bottle and hopefully he'll be down for the count but time will tell. I'm hoping I sleep well tonight!!!!

I'm going to add some more pictures to the blog. We were at Sammy and Lindy's new apartment today. They are twin sisters and we have known them for 8 years and we have such a great time together. They love the kids so much. They've known Caleb since he was a little guy and he was the first baby they had ever held. They are like aunts to all of the kids. The kids love them so much. They are wonderful aunts and we consider them relatives. Anyway, enjoy the pictures.

Hello everyone. I have some sweet pictures so far of the kids' visit. We are having a lot of fun with them so far. I hope you enjoy them. We've  loved having them with us! I sure wish we had them more!!  We've been swimming the last 2-3 days. The first week they were here, we had VBS. The next week was when Grandpa died so that wasn't a fun week for anyone. I was really surprised though, they BOTH wanted to go and see where Grandpa was laid to rest. They really liked the spot where he is. They understand that it's just his "shell" that his soul is in Heaven walking with Jesus.  Anyway, I hope you enjoy the pics we've taken.

Something else exciting happened yesterday.  Caleb had a loose tooth and he pulled it himself!!!! right in front of Poppy. We had given him the dental floss and he took it and wrapped it around the back of the tooth and then crossed it in the front and pop!! out it came!!! I was so surprised. The Texas tooth fairy left him $5.00 and a note.  I remember when a quarter was exciting!!! We hope you have a great evening. God Bless You All.

Monday, July 06, 2009

There is a song that is sung by Brandon Heath called Give me Your Eyes. That magnifies my life. Praise Jesus He saved me!! and has given me the opportunity to spend eternity with Him in Glory!!!! Hallelujah!!!!! Praise the Lord.
You know what?? I forgot to give you all the results of Christopher's tests!!! They were wonderful. Definitely post traumatic stress syndrome stemming from the stress he had in Maryland with his ex-wife. He's doing great!! He has a girlfriend now. He's taking his time, doing it "right" this time instead of what happened before. The kids REALLY like her a lot and she is a sweet young woman. She's 31 and her name is Jennifer. She has a little girl that is 6 so she's in between Caleb and Caitlyn's ages. We're having fun with the kids but we'll have more fun now that we have a little freedom. We're trying to decide what to do because there are so many things to do in Texas.  I KNOW we're going to Austin to see the bats fly out from under the bridge. Well, I gotta run right now to take Clayton to the Dr.  Have a blessed day.

Saturday, July 04, 2009

By the way, we're going to go and watch fireworks again tonight!! This will be the 3rd display we've seen. We saw Allen's, Wylie's and tonight is McKinney's. We're going to park in the parking lot of our church tonight. We'll take some snacks, drinks, etc. Zachary was fasinated watching them. Caleb and Caitlyn have been enjoying them also-it's probably the most they've ever seen. They are having a good time down here. They've made some new friends and done some things they hadn't done in previous trips. More to come though!!!!! Have a great rest of the weekend and enjoy your church services!!!!
Happy 4th of July everyone!!! Well, we've had a difficult week this week with the loss of Bryan's daddy early Tuesday morning. We had the funeral yesterday and it was a wonderful service. Bryan and his brother David even sang a song that their daddy had sang to them when they were children. It was very touching. Praise God that Bryan's mom seemed to do okay throughout the long day. I just don't know long she'll last now. They were married almost 72 years!!! Dad, we will miss you but we know where you are and wouldn't want you to have to come back here for anything!!!! Enjoy Heaven until we get there!!!

Tuesday, June 30, 2009

Well, today is a very sad day in the life of the Johnson Family. Bryan's daddy passed away at 1:15AM this morning. He'd been sick off and on for about 2 months. He'd been in the hospital 3 different times in 2 months. We weren't really surprised but you are never really ready for the late night phone call. We KNOW that he is at Home with his Creator and he's probably telling my parents that yes it was me that always sent him to the hospital. I can still hear my dad saying, "we knew what we were doing when we sent her to nursing school!!" Thank you to my mom and dad. Bryan's mom accepted the news as we felt like she would. It was hard for her because she isn't in good health either. We're afraid that it won't be too long til she follows him. They were married almost 72 years!!! Hard to believe. If you wonder how we KNOW where Dad is, you may ask me. I will tell you. In fact, I'll tell you here. At a young age, he asked Jesus to be the Lord of his life and to come into his life and live in him and guide him throughout his life. He GAVE his life to Jesus!!!! The Bible says that is the only way that you will spend eternity with Him. You may think it is narrow minded and well, it is but its what Jesus says that counts!!!!. May God bless you throughout your coming days and read the book of Romans or Acts or John and He'll help you. We did have a blessing today though. Zachary's blood tests came back so good!!! He was up on his red blood cells which is a blessing.

Here we are at the Race for the Cure. It was fun. Zachary was very popular getting his picture made!!!
Boy, it's been an eternity since I have written on my blog!!! Sorry for all who regularly read it. So many updates, so little time to write!! Bryan's parents have till been having problems and in fact his dad is back in the hospital. He collapsed on Friday and we thought we had lost him. He's recovering a little though which is an answer to prayer. I feel so sorry for him during this most difficult time-that is Bryan AND his daddy. The kids got here last week and we've had VBS all week long! It's been very exciting around here to say the least.  Zachary has more blood work done this week to see how his levels are. He was down a little last week so that's why he's being tested again so soon. I don't remember if I wrote about the Komen Race for the cure. When I check everything, I'll see and if I didn't put in pictures, I will come back and add some pictures to the blog. Well, I'm going to go and check the blog and I'll write more later. Have a great week!!!!

Thursday, June 18, 2009

Hey everyone, Go to this website for Komen and see if you recognize 2 people on the site!!! Z and I are famous!!   http://www.komennorthtexas.org/race_photos.html    that is soooo exciting!!!! Well, I'm 5 years breast cancer free and ALSO 10 years uterine cancer free!! All I can say is praise the Lord and I'm so humbled by what God has done in my life. It's just so humbling to be spared from such terrible diseases!!! I have been thanking Jesus ALL DAY LONG today especially!!! I thank Him daily anyway but I'm so blessed.  Thank you for the prayers that you have given for me.  Kimberly made Z's little Komen shirt because they don't have them in his size.

Wednesday, June 17, 2009

Well everyone, Sorry it's been a few days since I wrote a post.  I hope you like the pictures that I'm putting out with this post.  We are all doing well, just busy!!! Caleb and Caitlyn get here this weekend. I'll also enclose a picture of Kodi-the new puppy. I call her and Z "the twins" because she was born 1 week after Zachary. In fact, she was born on Zachary's due date. It's fun to watch both of them growing!!! Zachary was with us at the Komen Race for the cure. He's wearing my "Survivor glasses". He was such a big hit!! Here he is in his life jacket and sunglasses at the lake. These are all recent 3 month pictures.  Zachary's also sitting in his jumper at Grammy and Poppy's house.  Kodi is in Z's swing and then outside.  I hope you have a great week.

Wednesday, June 10, 2009

Well, I tried the video again, this time pushing the correct button but it still didn't load so I don't know if I gave it enough time-like 5 minutes, may not be long enough though. Someone can let me know if it's common to take a long time. Oh well, I can always try it again!!! Got storms coming tonight so the new computer goes off.

Well I wanted to post a little movie of Zachary in the tub but I think it's too big to load. Oh well, I tried. I'll try some other fairly current pictures of him that have been made recently. I hope your day is going well--ours have been.

Tuesday, June 09, 2009

Hey everyone. I hope your day has been great-mine has. Yesterday, we found out that Zachary weighs 12 pounds and 1.6 ounces!!! Big boy!!! Today was a great day also with some test results that came back wonderful!! Exciting for us. Caleb and Caitlyn come in 1 1/2 weeks!!! We got caregivers for Bryan's parents but his daddy ended up back in the hospital over the weekend. It's so sad-they are really having problems!!!! Just pray for us and for them.  Remember Jesus loves you!!!

Sunday, June 07, 2009

Good afternoon everyone, I hope you are having a good day. I'm sitting in the hospital with my father in law. Yes, we're back again!!! When it rains, it pours. In the last 3 weeks, both of my in laws have been in the hospital. I feel so sorry for my husband!!! We did start some caregivers so that will help. I hope you all are doing good. Other than hospitals, we're doing great. God is so good!!! Not much going on around us, just hanging out. The Komen race for the cure was exciting yesterday. Many people. I'm celebrating 5 years since diagnosed with breast cancer and 10 years free of uterine cancer. I'M A SURVIVOR!!!!!!   Grandkids will be here in 2 weeks-we're excited about them getting here for the rest of the summer. I hope you all have a wonderful week ahead and remember to talk to Jesus!!!

Friday, June 05, 2009

Good morning everyone, How are you all doing today?? I am good, just busy helping to get my in laws set up with a caregiver. They really don't want to move into a nursing home or anything so this is the next best thing. Anyway, my little 3 month old grandson discovered his hands this morning. How exciting!!!! It's so much fun to watch him. The other 2 will be here in a couple of weeks!! Yeah exciting.  It should be a great summer with all the kids being here. They want to get to do all sorts of things this summer.  We have VBS the first week and then who knows from there.

Wednesday, June 03, 2009

Oh sleep where are you????  I KNEW I shouldn't have had a glass of peach tea!!! Well, it's 1:57am and I just finished a cup of Sleepytime tea. Hopefully that will help me get sleepy. A busy day today and a little sad. We had to tell my in-laws that we were going to get someone to stay with them to help them be able to stay in their own apartment. Mom cried and I felt sorry for her. It's so hard to see them getting older and needing more and more help. Dad just took it all in stride as he's always done but mom took it pretty hard. We didn't want them in a "home" and so decided this would be the best route for now. I just hope we can help them maintain their hydration, food intake, general health. We figured they'd get more care being with a caregiver for the 2 of them. I feel like it will work out. Joy, the care home owner that I use for my brother is so wonderful!!!! I called her yesterday and she came up today and looked around and we talked about using some of her caregivers. It will be quite an adjustment for Bryan's mom and dad but we really wanted them to stay in their home.  Pray for them as they adjust to many changes in their health and lifestyle. We only have 20 more days before Caleb and Caitlyn get here!!!!! wooo-hoooo. Caitlyn wanted to talk to Bryan and I tonight so that was neat. Only got a couple of words out of Caleb though. Don't know what's going on in his head. It's so sad what they have to go through. God protect them!!!! We were watching John Hagee ministries this evening and he was doing a sermon on "the end times". Boy it's close!!! As he says, we better look up, pack up, cause we're going up sooner than what we think. If you don't know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, ask me because I don't want you left behind when the rapture happens. It won't be a pretty sight around here. All the good will be gone and the only thing left is all the evil that satan can dish out.
Zachary got to go to his first rodeo last week. The kids said he had fun that he was so busy just looking around at everything going on. They had a good time. He's really smiling, cooing alot. He'll be 3 months old in about 8 days or so. My, how time flies!!!
Christopher had the first part of his test run this morning. It was interesting. Can't wait for the results. He's such a neat guy. The ladies at the Dr. office were saying how sweet, polite, and kind he is. I can't help but agree with them wholeheartedly!!!
Bryan goes to his parents tomorrow for a few days until the caregiver gets there then we'll be training her and helping to "learn the ropes." Should be interesting. Anyway, I hope your week is going well so take care, God Bless, and talk to the Lord!!!

Sunday, May 31, 2009

Good afternoon everyone, I hope your Sunday is wonderful. Ours is busy. Bryan's mom is still in the hospital which is good today because there are several things we need to do today that don't include making another hospital run.  We had a good church service today and the praise music is always good.  We're having a cook out over at Les and Kimberly's and Z's tonight. The guys have gone to the lake to pull our boat back out. It had a "problem" yesterday. Anyway, we'll get it fixed hopefully before long. I hope you all have a really good week.

Thursday, May 28, 2009

Hello everyone, I've been out and I messed up my blog and couldn't get on for quite a few days. I've been busy this week. I was at the hospital with patients for 2 of those days and I was at a conference and also got to keep Zachary a little this week. I mowed the yard today and worked in the yard. I'm tired tonight for sure. I'm going to finish watching the movie Hancock and then I'll crawl into bed and read a little bit-one of my stories in Guidepost. I may even watch a little of forensic files.  If you get a chance to see Hancock be sure and see it. Will Smith is the star. It's a good movie. Zachary doesn't have to have his blood drawn for another 2 weeks!!!  He's been dropping a point a week but he went 2 weeks and hadn't even dropped a point. That's so exciting for Les and Kimberly because hopefully we won't have to have another transfusion.  I made the reservations for the kids to come down next month.  We had some flight coupons so it's good I won't have to pay much for tickets this trip. That's always good. They are so excited to be coming down for the summer. We always have so much fun. Well, gotta go for now so take care and have a great week!!!

Sunday, May 24, 2009

Hey everyone, We had a neighborhood picnic this evening and we had a great time. It was so neat to meet neighbors that I hadn't ever met before. We have such a neat neighborhood!!!! We had a wonderful service today at church-it was a Memorial Day service and it was neat. We even had bagpipes.  Thank you all servicemen and women for your service to this great country!!!! We appreciate all you do. Now, let's see. The kids are doing good. We're excited, it's almost time for the grandchildren to be coming. It's a little less than month and then they'll be here. Zachary is doing so well also. He weighs about 11-12 pounds and is getting bigger. He's really smiling a lot and he's talking also. He had labwork again this week. I hope he's doing well and making his own red blood cells. We don't want him to have to have anymore transfusions.  I hope you all have a great Memorial Day!!!! and thank a serviceman or woman for their service.

Friday, May 22, 2009

Dear All, Well, this is Friday!!! Memorial Day weekend! Hard to believe. It seems like New Years day was yesterday. We're all okay-just busy!! I was out of town for a few days and loved it. Bryan's dad is in the hospital starting today-pulmonary embolism and bladder infection. It never ends. I'll write more on another day. Have a great evening.

Saturday, May 16, 2009

Hi everyone, Well, STILL trying to figure this new machine out! I had a playlist acct. and it won't let me get into it. I put in all the right stuff and it still doesn't work. There is a song I want to add to it!!! Darn it. I don't understand. Oh well I'm leaving town for a few days with some friends of mine, Sammy and Lindy. We're going to Arkansas!!! Bryan is manning the ship with Christopher. You all take care and I'll see ya later.

Thursday, May 14, 2009

I bought a new computer and I'm playing with it. It is incredible!! I have to buy me a "book for Dummies" though-this is a MAC    hahahaha
Hey everyone, Hope you are well. I am. Just busy. Not much to say today. Zachary's bloodwork came back wonderful. Caitlyn called me the other night-I was sooooo  happy to hear her sweet little voice. Can't wait til their here for the summer. I hope you all have a great evening. Enjoy the music and remember Jesus loves you.

Sunday, May 10, 2009

Happy Mother's Day everyone!!!! I had a wonderful Mother's Day. My daughter celebrated her first Mother's Day with Mr. Zachary and Kodi. It's amazing that they had her a card in their bed's when she woke up this morning!!! Bryan and Christopher each had me a card when I got up and it was wonderful. I am so fortunate to have a husband and 3 kids who love me. Yes, that's right-3-Christopher, Kimberly, Les. I keep telling him that he's not a son in law-but a son. In fact, ask him about Julie's wedding-what I did to him. hehehe. I'll tell you-they announced that all mother's and son's get up to dance. He was holding Zachary and Kimberly was out visiting so I stood up, gave Zachary to another bride's maid(bride's sister) and told Les, "let's go-they said for mother's and son's to dance." He was surprised to say the least and more surprised that I could follow him on the dance floor. He even turned me, moved around and I still followed him. I had such a good time dancing with him because Christopher doesn't dance much nor does Bryan. I told Les that I used to dance with my dad and brother's a lot when I was younger. Don't have a chance to lately or I'd do it again!!!! Anyway, back to Mother's Day. Kimberly, Les, Zachary ate lunch with us and I got another card!!! It was wonderful. This evening I went to my mother in laws apartment and gave her a permanent(hair) because she's been in and out of hospitals since last November recovering from a broken hip. I cooked her dinner and she ate pretty good. Not a big eater at all!!! She LOVED the dessert though so that was good. Now, I'm heading for bed but wanted to say 'hi' for now. Tomorrow is a big day-the "twins" have their 2 month check-ups tomorrow. Kodi's at 9:30 where she'll get shots and flea stuff and Zachary at 1:30 where he'll get his 2 month immunizations (but no flea stuff). Have a great evening!!!!

Saturday, May 09, 2009

Good morning everyone. Well, it's almost noon, oh well I'm slow this morning. I want to wish all you mom's out there a wonderful Mother's Day. Here are pictures of my children and the man that made me a mom.

We are all there in the bluebonnets-the Texas State flower. You all have a wonderful day and remember Jesus loves YOU!!

Tuesday, May 05, 2009

A great day today even with the transfusion!!! Zachary is beginning to make his own red blood cells!!!!!! Praise the Lord!!!!! The Dr. said they were small but there was bunch of them. She was so excited for Zachary. Dr. Cavalier is a doll.Anyway, he got 64 cc's of blood-that's a little over 2 ounces. It took 5 hours to do and he screamed the vast majority of that time. He didn't get to take a nap and he was really fussy. We're all just so happy that he's beginning to make those cells. Keep the prayers going for this little special boy. Kodi comes tomorrow-Zachary's new "sister"-a mix of lab/Australian shepard puppy. Well, ya'll I'm going to bed-I was up at 4am. Love ya'll!!!! Pray for my friend Mary Jane who is having surgery tomorrow morning at 8:00am.

Monday, May 04, 2009

Well, we're back from Austin. The wedding was nice and we have fun. Congratulations Julie and Nathan. Amy, I enjoyed meeting your Nathan also. Very nice young man. Bryan's mom came home from rehab last Thursday. The boys are swapping staying with them til we see how mom is doing. We gave her a bath this evening and we had been to the Dr. earlier in the day. She looked "spunkier" than I've seen her in a long time. Speaking of spunky-Bryan saw a raccoon in our yard the other morning. The little critter got into a bird house and ate the babies!!!!! Darn him. Bryan said it was a big one also. Well, Caleb's new little 'sister' comes Wed. afternoon. I know I told you that Kodiak's daddy fathered another litter of pups and there is a big girl that belongs to Kimberly and Les. Her name is Kodi-only because Kimberly couldn't talk Les out of naming her something close to Kodiak. We called Kodiak Kodi also but, oh well. Zachary goes tomorrow for another transfusion-hopefully the last one. Gotta go for now so take care, God Bless.

Good afternoon everyone, Well, I stopped for the day and "just went fishin'"! We had a good time. Danny, Kimberly, Zachary, and me. We caught crappie but they were too small so had to throw them back. Darn it. I want some big ones!!!!!!! Oh well, it was fun anyway even if they were small. It's VERY relaxing out there at the lake-hearing the pulley's clang against the mast's, wind blowing through and under the roof's of the dock's, etc. Well, I probably won't write for several days as I'm leaving for Austin to attend a wedding. Will be back late Sat. night. You all have a good rest of the week. Say a prayer for travel mercies for me. God Bless and remember that Jesus Loves YOU!!

Good afternoon everyone, Man, do I feel better. Just got back from my massage lady!!!! My muscles tighten up so fast. Drink lots of water to keep them moving well. She said I'll be sore to take an epsom salts bath tonight and drink distilled water. I will do what she says, because it DOES help. If you need a massage, let me know and I'll give you her name. She's in Plano and she's wonderful!!! Not much new on the home front. Enchilada's for supper tonight-yummy. Zachary won't take a nap for Kimberly--I remember when SHE wouldn't take a nap for me. Paybacks are great. hahaha-love ya Kimberly. It's beautiful right now but I think we're to get some rain this evening. I have several prayer requests-our friend Eddie is having some health issues, his sister, Kim, is also, our Sunday School teacher is in the hospital, continued prayer for Zachary and Caleb and Caitlyn. Thanks for prayers-they REALLY DO work!!! Have a great evening. American Idol is on--yippee.

By the way, if you ever want to comment on this blog, feel free to do so.
Well, here we are again at the first of the week!!! This won't be long as I'm cooking chinese for dinner!!! I just wanted to update you about Zachary. He will have to have a third transfusion next week. He's doing well but his hemaglobin is beginning to drop some. It was down to an 8 today. After he gets to about 3 months old, he'll start making his own red blood cells. He's still killing off the fetal red blood cells. Oh, but he's cute. We got to talk to our 2 other grandchildren last night. My little granddaughter has been so influenced by her mother that she's been told not to "love Grammy" because my ex daughter in law doesn't like me. She wouldn't speak to me but boy when she comes to Texas, she takes a running leap into my arms at the airport. It's so sad when babies have babies and mommies don't grow up!!!! Oh the stories. They'll be here this summer and we're planning on the fun stuff for them now. Exciting. Well, gotta go, hear the "fried rice" frying so have a great evening and remember Jesus loves even YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good evening everyone, I'll be so glad when this wind stops blowing!!!! My allergies are going CRAZY!!! Ears pop, hurt, etc, sneezing, blowing my nose, etc. Oh well, this IS Texas. Yesterday was the 8 anniversary of my mom going "home to be with the Lord." How do I KNOW where she is? Glad you asked. The Bible says that ANYONE-meaning ANYONE, that includes YOU, anyone that calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved and will spend eternity with Jesus. John 14:1-6 was my mom's favorite verses. I can remember my mom quoting those scriptures from the time I was a little girl. Read them for yourself. God says that "He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and No one comes to the Father except through Him". You say that's being narrowminded? It's not my mind but what God says so take it up with Him and see what He tells you!! One of my friends buried her mom yesterday and her mom knew the Lord also. It's such an encouragement to know that she will see her again and be with her in eternity. It's so sad for your deceased loved one to not know the Lord and for that matter for you not to know Him either. Unfortunately, you will see them again but not in Heaven. Yes, hell is REAL!! There's been too many "eye-witnesses" that's been there and come back to life to have their lives forever changed for the better. Seek them out and ask them about their experiences. Moving on to different subjects-Christopher made calendars for his kids today to send them so they can begin to count down the days til they arrive for the summer. He also made them a list of things they can choose to do over the summer like anything imaginable. We'll see if they check mark their lists to see what all they want to do. Not much else going on-gettin' ready to go to bed as I have 8:30 Sunday School. Love the time though-I'm out of church before 11am and that is wonderful since Bryan preaches at an assisted living home. Been doing that I bet 15 years. I hope you all have a great night and a wonderful Sunday!!!! God Bless.

Well, this morning Kimberly had a Dr. appt. and she wasn't able to drive that far yet so Zachary and I took her. Man, the wind is blowing so much and my sinus' and allergy is driving me crazy. I have a very bad sinus headache tonight and my ears hurt. Anyway, I wanted to share a couple of things with you all. Zachary is up to 9 1/2 pounds!!!! Kimberly took these pictures of him earlier in the week, I think. Time flies so fast, it's hard to know when she took them. He is also getting a little "sister!!" No, not a human sister. I may have told you this yesterday-don't remember. I'll enclose some pictures of her. Her daddy was Kodiak's daddy so it makes this puppy very special to all of us. She was born on Zachary's due date so she is 5 weeks old. She's 1/2 Aussie(her daddy-Kiwi), and her mom is a black Lab and I don't know her name. Clarence and Mary Jane said she was the biggest puppy in the litter and Kiwi was a tall big dog-just like our precious Kodiak. Les wanted to name her Kodiak but Kimberly really didn't want to so they settled with Kodi. We called Kodiak Kodi but that's okay. We'll love her anyway. She'll be coming home in a week or so. You can look at the 3 puppies and tell me if any of them resembled our Kodiak. Yes, the new Kodi has a white tip on her tail and is the puppy on the far right.

Wednesday already!!!! I can't believe it! I was busy this morning. In the state of Texas, nurses now have to be fingerprinted so I did that this morning, went to Clayton's Dr. appt., went to the driver's license place to update Clayton's I. D. and then renewed my license also. Ate lunch with my friend Elaine, who was with me all morning. Came back, got my allergy shot, and I'm home!!!! Kimberly, Les, Zachary are out looking at a puppy. She is a puppy from Kodiak's daddy so she has special meaning. It's strange but she was born on Zachary's due-date. Weird huh? Probably not. Kodiak was so special to all of us-we truly loved her so much. I really still miss her!!!!!!! RIP Kodiak. Caleb and Caitlyn were very excited to hear that there was going to be another puppy in the family-they can't wait to see her. Zachary had his blood tested and it was down 1 full point so we go back next week for another blood test. He'll probably have another transfusion but we'll see. He's really doing well-growing like a little weed. Kimberly read a book called Babywise and it has been great for them!!!! Zachary is doing so much better. I'm going to recommend it to all my friends who are having grandbabies in their families. I may even start buying it as a gift for new mom's. Kimberly is so much happier also and Zachary is too. Look for it at 1/2 price books. Well, that's all for now, have a great rest of the week.

It was a beautiful cool, windy day today. You know there are such sweet people in the world. Met one yesterday-Kevin McElroy. As we talked on the phone, we realized that we had something in common besides children. His mom and dad are our neighbors in our neighborhood. They've been in the neighborhood for many years and we only took over our home after my mom went home to be with the Lord. Thank you Kevin and your wife-I didn't get her name and also their children for giving us a precious little rocking pony that I'm sure our new little grandson will enjoy. God is so good. I'm so thankful for so many things!! My relationship with Jesus Christ is the most important. Without Him, I'd spend ALL of ETERNITY lost in a place that isn't very nice. The number 2 in my life is my family-my great husband, my #1 son-Christopher or rabbit-nickname, my #1 daughter Kimberly alias Tooter, my #2 son Les who I'm so grateful to God for giving him to our crazy family. Our 3 beautiful grandchildren-2 boys and a girl. We are so truly blessed in this world. My 3 brothers mean so much to me. One has recently come back to the Lord and I'm so thrilled at that-I'm still praying for my other brothers. They will-God knows I've claimed them for His Kingdom!!!!! We were all brought up in church but I'm the only one that stayed with it and now they are returning just like the Bible says will happen. My extended family-nieces, nephews, cousins. All of our friends both near and far. We are truly blessed!!!! That's why Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday-I AM THANKFUL FOR EVERYTHING GOD HAS PROVIDED FOR ME!!!! Here are current pictures of the grandkids. The one of Zachary with the green frog was taken last week at 5 weeks old. The other one of him is 4 weeks. The 2 older grandchildren pictures were made while they were here for Easter. They are getting soooo BIG!!! and I love them so much. Have a wonderful blessed week!!!!

Saturday, April 18, 2009

Hello everyone, Well today is Saturday. I need to be up busy but I'm not!! I will be later. It's kind of a dreary day out there but I know the sun is shining above the clouds. It's so cool being in an airplane and "rising above" the dreariness. Oh yeah, we can do that to here on earth. Rising above and seeing the "Sonlight" and stop looking at the dreariness that life can bring our way. The Son is always here for us, anytime, anyplace. He does truly answer prayers!!! Have a blessed day and weekend.

Tuesday, April 14, 2009

Hello everyone. I'm at Children's Medical Center today with Kimberly and Zachary. He is having another blood transfusion today. He's doing well. I don't have much to say today-rough trip home from the airport after flying for 2 days taking Christopher's children home. We love those kids so much-yesterday was Caitlyns birthday 4 years old!!!! It's so hard to believe. I hope you all have a good day.

Friday, April 10, 2009

Happy Good Friday to ALL!!! It's a gorgeous day today and our son is off to spend the day with his kids. They are going swimming today and we're going to decorate Easter eggs. Tomorrow, we'll have an Easter egg hunt. We have to leave with them on Sunday which we don't enjoy doing. It's sooooooo hard because they don't want to leave their daddy and they cry for quite awhile. It rips my heart out!!!! We enjoy them so much and we're so blessed to have them. I hope you all have a great Easter and He Lives!!!

Tuesday, April 07, 2009

Good afternoon everyone. Zachary had a good check-up today. He was over 7 pounds!!!! Go get 'em Zachary!!! Caleb and Caitlyn are having a ball. We're going to their daddy's work tomorrow to meet some of the strongmen he works with. Should be fun, it's definitely a camera day!!!!! Kimberly and Les are doing a great job with Zachary and Christopher is having a good time with his children. We can't wait for the summer. Well, you have a great afternoon for now. See ya.

Monday, April 06, 2009

Hey All!!! I cannot believe that "spring is in the air!!" It's a beautiful day out there, but very windy. We had a good day yesterday although Zachary scared Kimberly and I really bad. He turned WHITE and so we went back to Childrens (CMC-from now on). His blood was great!!! only lost 0.8 in 5 days. Wonderful news. They did a chest x-ray but no pneumonia or anything although he was "retracting" where his skin kind of sinks in on his chest. We see the Dr. tomorrow about that. Caleb and Caitlyn made it down yesterday also. We're SO HAPPY they are here. They had a great flight. So much love they share with us. Pictures will come very soon!!!! They are here over Christopher's birthday which is wonderful and we'll have birthday parties for both of them. It's a surprise, they don't know where (Thunderbird roller rink in Plano). They've never been there so it will be exciting. Well, I'll close for now so take care, God Bless and have a great day.

Saturday, April 04, 2009

Kimberly, I left a comment to your comment. Don't know how to post it to yours so you'll have to go look. Today is Sat. Bryan and Christopher will be leaving in a little while to head out for his children. It's exciting. Pray for these kids, they are told so many negative things by their mom that they have trouble getting excited about coming to visit. She's such an angry, sick, little girl herself!!!! I pray for her also along with her new husband that didn't know what he was getting into. I haven't seen little Zachary this morning yet-that's later. We're going to go visit his daddy at work today after the airport run. Les is so excited to show him off!!!! You all have a great weekend and I'll keep you updated.

Friday, April 03, 2009

Hello everyone, Well I don't know if I've figured out why I couldn't get on here before or not. I didn't do anything but amazingly, it let me post without getting rid of anything? don't know. Anyway, It's been good this week. Zachary got to come home Wed. and his hemoglobin was 10. Today he was here and he's a little paler again, so we went to see Dr. Eastman. It's down to an 8. He will schedule emergency labs for Monday so we get the results on Monday and it may be back to Childrens's from there. Poor little guy. Great news though-he's gained almost 1 pound since his birth!!!! and Dr. Eastman said his color was great. He also answered a very important question for us-this isn't life threatening as long as we keep up with his hemaglobin and eventually he'll outgrow it. When?? big question. Right now they are calling it Hemolytic anemia. Caleb and Caitlyn come this weekend!!!! yeah!!!! I hope they get to spend some time with Zachary and not from a hospital room. We have a lot planned for next week but some of it may need to change. Les is off Tues and Thursday so that's great. Anyway, you all have a great evening.

Tuesday, March 31, 2009

I can't believe I haven't written since Sunday!! All of you who reads this day to day were bored!!! Well, LOTS have happened since Sunday. On Monday, Zachary had a Dr. appt. at Children's Medical Center. We went to the appt. and ended up being admitted because his hemaglobin was too low. He got a transfusion last night that brought it up significantly and then another smaller one today. I can't believe how pink he is!!!!! He's NEVER been this pink before. He see's the hematologist next week to begin some work-up as to what is causing him to breakdown his red blood cells. He's been eating like a horse today!! Kimberly and Les are taking a few well deserved minutes to go out to dinner. I'm staying with him here in the hospital. I'll spend the night tonight since Les has to go home and go to work tomorrow. He's such a great dad!!! Kimberly's a great mom also. Zachary is such a sweetheart also. He's just had a rough time getting started. We're just praying that the Lord gives much wisdom to the Dr. next week and that the blood will keep him going or help him to jumpstart his own production of RBC's. I hope you all have a great day and more updates later.

Sunday, March 29, 2009

Hey all, Well here we are tonight-the last night to stay with the kids maybe. I'll miss it!!!!!! Tomorrow is Dr. day and we hope to see the hematologist but I bet that will be later in the week. We'll let you know how things are. The other grandchildren will be here by this time next Sunday evening. Have a great day and I'll keep in touch.

It's 3:15am, how are you? We're good here. Tonight and then Sunday night should be the last night that you find me blogging during the night. I'm going to go home and spend the night on Monday. It's time to begin to let the kids handle their little bundle of joy on their own. They can do it though!!! They are doing well. The night's are the hardest on Kimberly because of the no sleep deal. Zachary is eating great and doing wonderful. Les told her that he was tired because he stayed up late the other night. Kimberly commented about it-it was funny. I have enjoyed being here with them but our other 2 grandchildren will be here in 1 week. One nice thing is that I'm not far away and can be here in a few short minutes. Of course that few short minutes may seem like hours to them when they are really tired and having a screaming baby. As my friend, Linda, told some people with a little sleeping baby, "him??? screaming??? I can't belleve it!! He's sleeping so peacefully!!!" Of course she was teasing them. They told us that it took 4 adults to take care of this little sleeping baby. The husband said that he ended up going to a friend's house to sleep while her mom, aunt, and the new mom tried to take care of their little guy. This little guy was about the size of Zachary. It was funny. Les has been so sweet to me-allowing me to invade his privacy and to be here with them. He's appreciative because at least someone is here that knows what they are doing. I've teased him about going to diapering 101 and such. Well, I'll close now because I still need to add some pictures-NEW ones at that.

Friday, March 27, 2009

Well we have had some conversations with Dr. Eastman today and we think we have an idea of what's going on with baby Zachary. Even though the newborn screening tests that they do for 25-30 tests showed all of his were negative, his uncle Kevin (Les' brother) and his cousin Mattie have a rare trait for thalasemia which causes anemia that is untreated with iron. Anyway, as stands now, we are still going to Children's on Monday for the GI Dr. to look again at his liver, spleen, kidneys because of the bilirubin test. Dr. Eastman is waiting to hear from the hematologist that took care of Mattie and Kevin. We're hopeful to see him Monday or sometime next week. Meanwhile, he's the sweetest little guy. Again, so wish we could have been with Caleb and Caitlyn during this time but only God knows why we weren't. We're just so exctied to see them ina little over 1 weeks time!!!!!!! Love to all.

Thursday, March 26, 2009

Good morning everyone, Well, we had a short night last night-we were up more than what we wanted but we're doing better now. Kimberly is sleeping and I'm picking up around the house. Weather is cloudy but that's okay. We're just waiting for Dr. Eastman's office to call with lab results. Zachary is laying in his bed, watching his mobile for the time being. He's so sweet and I thank God for bringing to us. I also praise God for our precious Caleb and Caitlyn. We just sent the pictures of Zachary to the kids so I can't wait to see what they think of him. Christopher goes to get them in a little over a week!!! Man, time flies! I can't believe they'll be here in a little over a week. I haven't seen them since January so can't wait to see them. We get them all summer long!!!! Can't wait for that for sure. You all have a great day.

Wednesday, March 25, 2009

Hello this rainy Wed. afternoon. Well we were busy but Kimberly didn't get to see her Dr. She had surgery or something. Zachary went though and he got a good report. Dr. Eastman said his color was improving, his appetite is good, everything else is good. His weight was up 7 oz!! He weighed 5 pounds 15.2 oz. He's grown 1/2 inch and his head had also grown 1 3/4 inches. He was pleased. Part of the lab work last week was still elevated so he did some more today and then we'll go from there as to what to do. No answers yet but he is encouraged. Just keep the prayers going for him please and we'll keep you posted as we know what's going on. Thank you!!!
Good morning, I was too tired to blog early this morning. This was a 2 timer during the night and I'd be in bed now but we have Dr. day. I gotta get the ship rolling here in a few minutes but I thought I'd let both of the sleep a little longer (Les included:) ). I also want to thank my ABF class for their continued prayers and for Les and Kimberly's class for the meals. You are all good cooks!!! I have a special request for a friend of mine who is facing breast cancer and doesn't know what they are going to do next so would you pray for Laura. I've had breast cancer and uterine cancer so I know how she feels not knowing what's going to take place. I just found out about it myself so I'm praying for her. You know prayer is a marvelous thing!!! It's a VERY STRONG power in the time of need or at anytime for that matter. If you don't pray, try it!!! It's a comfort to know that our Lord listens to us and answers us through prayer and also by other ways. I'm so glad that I have Him to talk to and I know he listens to my needs and requests. I hope you all have a great day today and I'll blog an update on a special little boy.

Tuesday, March 24, 2009

Praise the Lord!!!!!!!! Zachary's first state mandated blood tests came back all normal!!!!!!!! We're so thrilled!!!! Right now he's sleeping so he doesn't know how happy everyone is over his tests results!! I'm sure he really cares about that. He gets another test tomorrow. It's the 2nd neonatal screen and maybe other just bloodwork. We'll keep you posted.
Good morning all, I hope you are sleeping well. It's amazing what a shut-eye will do for you!!! I went to bed at 9pm. I woke up 2 1/2 hours later in the same position. I hope I get a little more here when the midnight raid on the icebox is over. It's 3am. Tomorrow is the big day at the Dr. for both Zachary and Kimberly. Les is off and so we'll have a fun day out. Dr., lunch, Dr., home. It'll be a long day tomorrow for all of us. New learning experience though as to how much time it takes to go out with a little one. I can't believe he's already 2 weeks old!! and we're 2 weeks closer to seeing Caleb and Caitlyn who will get here on the 5th. Yippeeeeeeeeeee. Do I hear "family picture" for Easter? You know me and my pictures. I have some I need to get printed-from our ABF class or Sunday School. Our newest members. We have a great ABF!!! a praying group of friends. Just keep remembering my brothers: Wayne, Larry, and Clayton. I pray for them everyday. They are the bestest brother's a girl could have. I'm so glad that God gave me such a great group of siblings. They are all special to me in their own way. Each one has their own special unspoken requests in my heart that I appreciate you praying for them. I claim Jer. 29: 11-13 for each. My brother, Larry, is experiencing some rough times right now where he knows Who is carrying him through. He told me that he can tell that his footprints are lighter in the sand because he has given over more to Jesus and Jesus is carrying the load. Keep up the good work Wa-wee. It's so neat how the scriptures apply to everyday stuff. The Proverb I read last night for the 23rd had a lot to say also. I try to do that everyday of the month. One Proverb for each day. I don't always succeed and I usually have to play catch-up but God understands. Well, hopefully we'll get some more sleep here in a little bit. Sleep well the rest of the night!!!

Monday, March 23, 2009

Good evening all!!!! Well, we had a good day today. We were out some and we enjoyed being out. A friend came over and brought us the most wonderful pecan pie!!!! Oh man, it is yummy. Had some before dinner. Zachary got some good reports today on his lab work from last week. It was good and Dr. Eastman will see him on Wed. and see how his color is. We think his color is doing better. When he's awake he's so watching what is going on and it's fun to watch him look around. I got pictures ready to send to Caleb and Caitlyn today. We will send them this week so they will have them to examine and to get a closer look at their new little cousin. Kimberly is doing well today. She got more sleep than I did so I'm going to bed early. I'm tired!! Anyway, you all have a good evening. Oh yeah, Christopher started coaching a kids soccer team today at church. I'm excited for him to do that. He has 1st and 2nd grade kids. I'm not sure if it's a mixed group or just boys or girls. Anyway, I'm happy for him. He's really liking his new job. He works pretty fast so he tends to not have a lot to do at some points in time. I tell him to keep asking for other stuff to do. Not much else going on around here because Zachary is asleep and we actually got to eat dinner together. I'm praying for rain but not real severe storms. That's not fun. Keep my brother, Larry, in your prayers. I'm so very proud of him. Keep up the good work bro. You all have a good evening and stay dry.
Good morning world!! Well, I was way too tired to write during the night!!! Kimberly and I slept in a little this morning and here it is 10:33 and Zachary is still sleeping from his 7:00 feeding. If he's still not awake in a few minutes, we'll go back to bed for a little bit. I bet that we won't make it though :) We had a good nutritious breakfast, and I'm going to leave Kimberly alone for a little bit as my brother is sick and I have to meet him at the Dr. office. Never a still moment. I think Zachary feels a little heavier to me this morning. I sure hope so. He looks great!!! He's so interested in everything-he looks all around and especially the bright lights of his toys. I hope you all have a great day as we will.

Sunday, March 22, 2009

Good evening everyone. We had a great day today. Zachary met a few people today and he was impressed!! He's such a cutie. I fixed pictures up today for Caleb and Caitlyn and will get them into the mail as soon as I can. They are excited to meet their new cousin!!!! Kimberly and I are going to bed early tonight since we were up some extra time last night. I'm glad it's not raining tonight!! Looks like tomorrow night it should rain--we need it. I hope you all have a good week and come and see Zachary!!!
Good morning everyone!!!! It's 3:30am, do you know where your children are??? I know where my daughter and little Zachary are--we're hangin' out in the living room, eating and drinking, or rather should I say a little person is eating. I praise God that we can be a part of the kids' lives!!!! I only wish we could have been a part of our 2 older grandchildren's lives. We love them so much and truly miss seeing them grow on weekly or monthly basis. We get to hear their little voices when they talk to their daddy and they are excited to be coming down for a week. They love aunt KK and uncle Les so much and are so happy about baby Zachary. We're all excited about Zachary's upcoming Dr. appt to see if he's gaining weight, growing, etc. Well, I'll go for now. Everyone sleep well, we will after our mid-night snack or rather someone's midnight snack at 3am.

Saturday, March 21, 2009

Christopher was talking to his kids while he was feeding Zachary. Caleb and Caitlyn can't wait to see him live in living color. Caleb says he looks like an old man and Caitlyn started singing to him. That was so cute in her doing that. Les and Zachary nose to nose. Isn't that sweet? Zachary grabbed Les' nose and tried to suck on it. It surprised Les when he did that. I thought you all you enjoy seeing him getting his first bath at home. He really did well. The others are him in his Jamaican hat and then Kimberly reading a book to him. You can see he was happy until bath time. Poppy is holding Zachary right now while Kimberly and Les got out a little bit. You know you get cabin fever when you don't get to get out much. Poppy and Zachary are playing airplane bomber-he's making noises at him like an airplane dropping bombs. It's really cute.
Man, it's been a beautiful day today!!! We've had a great day. Kimberly and I both got sleep last night and she's been resting and I've been holding Zachary for awhile. That's the fun part. So wish we could have enjoyed Caleb and Caitlyn as much but now that they are older they love being involved in our lives here in Texas. When I get to my computer, I have to add some pictures of them to this. I've been busy doing stuff around the house that Kimberly hasn't been able to do for several weeks. It's fun helping her. Bryan and Les are on their way here. Les worked today and Bryan has been with his parents so I better run for now. Have a great evening. I still have some unspoken requests but God is working in a big way in my family. Thank you for the prayers!!!!!!!

Friday, March 20, 2009

Well today is a new day. Zachary has been so good today. Hopefully Kimberly and I will get to sleep sometime tonight. He's such a cutie. We didn't get the lab results today-so I guess on Monday, we'll find out about his blood then. He goes for his first check-up on Wednesday. You all have a good weekend.
It's 4:45am now. Grammy's been up for quite awhile and finally had to wake Mommy as I couldn't get him back to sleep without something else to eat. All the extra milk was frozen. That'll teach Grammy to not be prepared!! He's a real chow hound. Well, hopefully now he'll be able to sleep for awhile and so will Grammy.
Well good morning world. It's 1:45 and Kimberly, Zachary, and I are spending quality time together. Rather I should say that Zachary is eating!!! He had his first bath at home last evening. I was surprised that he didn't scream his little heart out, but he didn't. His mommy and daddy watched on as I bathed him. They were proud of their little man. He's so cute--kind of little, well, more than kind of and has such a sweet face. My grandson, Caleb, said that he looked like a little ole man. I told him that a lot of little babies look like that. In fact, his daddy did also. Caitlyn was singing to him over the phone. They are excited to see Zachary when they come down. He really is a good little baby. Sleep tight everyone and by the way, I have several unspoken prayer requests that you can ask the Lord to bless and take care of them. Thank you. Our God is so good to answer all prayer requests. One is for wisdom in counseling and the others, He knows. He is in the miracle working business. Good night.

Hello everyone, We have the sweetest new grandbaby!!! Our other 2 grandchildren can't wait to meet their new little cousin. He's a good baby so far. He had more bloodwork done today and he did well while they stuck him. Poor little guy. Kimberly gets the results tomorrow so we're excited to see how Zachary is doing. Kimberly is feeling good-not moving too slow either. Les is doing great at becoming a new daddy. We've had a few laughs along the way though. It's great working with them to see the excitement on their faces over their little boy. They are special parents. They both waited a long time for this moment. We've been working in Zachary's room today getting the rest of it organized. Thank you to their ABF class at church for providing meals 3 times a week. It really helps. Well, a little boy is waking up so I'll go for now and get him changed and ready to eat. Have a great evening.

Good morning everyone!!! Well, it's been a long time since I wrote on this thing but we have all sorts of exciting things going on. Right now, we're at the hospital awaiting a little baby boy to come into the world. Kimberly and Les are expecting their first baby. Here he is pouting, at 32 weeks pregnant. We did the 3-D sonograms and it was so neat to see him on a regular basis. I'll add pictures of Caleb and Caitlyn when I get to my computer. Right now, I'm using Kimberly's computer at the hospital. Oh yeah, you all didn't even know that Kimberly got married back in October of 2007. Les is a wonderful guy and we're so glad that he came into our lives as a son. He's a great addition to our family. Christopher went through a divorce in 08. His children are still in Maryland. We do get to see them and get to talk to them 3 times a week. They'll be here at Easter and will get to see the new baby. We've called him Baby C the whole pregnancy. Caleb will be 8 in May and Caitlyn will be 4 in April. They want their birthday parties here so that will be fun. We're working on that plan now. Bryan and I are good and very happy with life right now. You all have a great day and God Bless You.

I did a test about what book of the Bible am I. Here is the result. I did the test twice because I forgot to keep it and I thought I answered the same questions but I guess I didn't because the second time, it said I was a Roman. The first time, I was an Ephesian!!!!

You Are Romans
You are Romans.

Which book of the Bible are you?
brought to you by

You can go to the page and read up about me.

I hope you have a great day.

Hey everyone, Here I am again. I had a great day today. I met with the hospital people that are helping set up the breast cancer support group. We start Nov. 7th. So if you live in my area and are interested in coming, just write on this thing and I'll write back. There are so many women like me out there and there will be so many more this year!!!!!! Our church service last week was wonderful. The leadership of our church have pledged so far 2 almost 3 million dollars over a 3 year period!!!! It's incredible. I don't know how many families that includes but that amount is great. This weekend, we will have a service on the site of our new worship center. It will really be great. It will be so neat to finally have a worship center as for about 6 years, we've been in a multi-purpose building at 2 different sites. Anyway, God is good to us and we don't even give Him the praise for all He does for us. I hope you all have a good day and God Bless You.

Good morning everyone!!! I'm so excited about this weekend. Not only do we get to sleep an hour longer but it's also an exciting weekend at our church. We are preparing to start a building program in which to build a new worship center. It's going to be beautiful!! We're having a "prayer picnic" this weekend and then next weekend, we'll have committment Sunday. I'll let you know how much is promised. We haven't had a worship center in a long time. Our church has grown so much that we had to use multipurpose buildings!!! Right now we worship in "the gym" which okay because you don't really even realize it's a gym. It will really be neat to have a worship center. I'm also excited because my son and his family will be home for Thanksgiving. He's been in Maryland about 7 years and this will only be the second time he's been able to be home for any holiday. We are rejoicing about that. So we'll get to see our daughter in law and the 2 grandchildren. Included on this page is a new picture of our granddaughter. She's 6 months old. Her Poppy titled the picture, "I can't believe we really lost!!!" I hope you have a great beautiful day.

Good morning anyone!! I hope you are having a wonderful day. I am so far. It's nice and cool, crisp air and very clear. We had a beautiful sunrise this morning. I wanted you all to know that since this is breast cancer awareness month, that I've had breast cancer and with a combination of prayer, Jesus' hands on my body, the Dr., and my thoughts, I've overcome it so far. You can do it too!!! Ask Jesus to walk beside you and to lead you all the way. He will!!! In the book of Jeremiah, 29th chapter, 11-13 He says He knows the plans He has for me. Plans to prosper me and not to hurt me, plans to lead me and guide me especially when I look for Him with my whole heart. I'm trying to do that. It is possible to do that in a fast paced world. I hope you have a great day today and God Bless you and remember Jesus DOES love YOU
