Hey everyone, Well I hope everyone is having a great day like I am. I had my brother out for awhile and he really enjoyed it, even in the rain. Duchess doesn't like getting her feet wet very much. She's a real sweetie. I haven't gotten really any good pictures of her yet so will include them next time. I DO, however, have some new sweet pictures of the Cornelius family that were taken at the Celina Pumpkin Festival. I know you'll enjoy them. Kimberly added a new dog to their family. His name is Ozzy and he is a resuce dog also. He looks alot like Kodiak but he sure doesn't act like her!!!! He is part sheperd also and he's a pretty rough big toughie. They are going to have some obedience training with Kodi and Ozzy. Kimberly still isn't sure about keeping him because of her allergies. I told her to bathe him and see if that helps. He's almost 11 months old. Pictures included also of them. Our nephew, Danny and his wife Melody had a baby 3 weeks ago- 09-29-09. His name is Nathan and here is a picture with his mommy. He's a cutie also but so little compared with Zachary!!!! We are all doing well. We got Bryan's parents apartment cleaned out-which was so weird to us. We remember 6 years ago, excitedly moving them into the apartments and how thrilled we were to have them here with us and now... We know they are both with Jesus and each other. I told Mom to hug my parents for me and tell them I loved them. Well, gotta go get supper on. We're having soup and sandwich this evening. Yummy!!! Potato soup with ham, celery, carrots, broccoli and cheese added in!! Perfect for a rainy evening. Love ya'll.

Sunday, October 18, 2009

Hello world!!!! Sorry I haven't written in awhile but have been busy. We've been trying to pack up Bryan's parents stuff and get their apartment cleaned and ready to give back to them. It's really weird to know that 6 short years ago, we moved them here and now we're cleaning out the apartment and getting rid of stuff. On a lighter note though, Duchess is sure fitting in well to our family. She's such a sweetie and a really good girl. She LOVES frozen carrots and green beans and will do anything you want her to in order to get some. She is learning some tricks now. She can sit, speak, learning to shake, she will go "down", go in a circle both ways, etc. Whatever else we can think of to teach her. Well, gotta go for now. Zachary is staying with us and just woke up from a nap!!!!!! God Bless You All, Have a blessed afternoon!!!!!!

Well we brought "Licorice" home and in the process, we named her, "Duchess". She got a pink "diamond" collar and leash!! and her own little chewies. She is a sweetheart!!! She REALLY likes people food but no..no..no. She wasn't particularly interested in her dog bed. Right now, she's laying on the couch as close to Christopher as she can get and is getting her back scratched on. She's a happy girl, I hope. In case you forgot, here is her picture. The lady that takes all of the Recycled Pom site does an awesome job on their pictures-Cheri, you did a great job!!! Debi, thank you for being such a good foster mom to her. You say "outside" and boy she runs to the back door already.

Friday, October 09, 2009

Well, we just got word that we have been approved to adopt Licorice!!! A new name is coming for her. What will it be????? We don't know yet. We're going to go and meet her tomorrow morning at 11am. I hope she likes us and that she likes Zachary. They say that she loves kids but is a little afraid of adults. Her step mom thinks she could have been abused. I'll let you know more tomorrow.

Well, it's the day after the funeral. It all went very well yesterday. Everyone liked the poem that I read that was called Heaven. I also told some stories about mom and different family members. We are looking to adopt a dog. I KNOW it will be good for us. I'm putting a picture of her on the blog. She's such a cutie. I filled out the paperwork required for her and we'll see if we qualify for her. She is a Pomaranian and is 15 pounds. She loves kids but is a little shy around adults. Anyway, she'd get a great home, I think. Say a prayer about this for me. I've been praying that the Lord would lead us to the right animal. She's a rescue dog. Anyway, have a great day and know you are loved, especially by Jesus!!!!

Wednesday, October 07, 2009

Gee, I can't believe it was the 3rd that I last posted. We had news that night-Bryan's mom went home to be with the Lord around 10pm that night. She was soooo ready to meet Jesus, see her husband, and all her other family and friends that she hadn't seen in many many years. We will miss her but I KNOW she's extremely happy!! Her last words a few days before she passed on was what she said when she looked at Zachary. She had a sweet smile and opened her eyes and said, "Oh the baby" at that, she closed her eyes and never said another word. Onto a lighter note.

We are looking for a dog to adopt. I've filled out apps all over for different places to adopt. We're looking at a smaller dog that has longer hair. It is fun looking at all of these dogs!!! So many!!! I'll keep you posted on our discovery. We're going to go see a little dog by the name of Sharla Bear. She's a mix of Chihuahua/Pomeranian and she is so cute. She weighs about 8 pounds. Anyway, I'll let you all know the latest developments!!! Not much else happening right now so I'll let you go and I'll write more later. Remember Jesus loves YOU!!! yes even YOU!!!

I'm going to visit my mother in law although she doesn't respond back. It's so sad to see her this way. I wish the Lord would let her come on home. I had great lasagna for dinner last night. Kimberly cooked!!! It was a new recipe that you make in the crock pot and it was great. Good going girlie!!! I'm going to be walking for Alzheimer's the end of this month in honor of several people that I know. WOW!!!! I had a wonderful time last night!!! I went to my 40th year high school reunion and we had a great time!! It was so much fun to see people that I graduated with and how our lives have crossed and we didn't know it. I even ran into one of the mom's of one of the children from my nursing days. She's now married to my classmate!! How cool. It was just a lot of fun and thanks to everyone that made this weekend a special one. I have been praying for our "fallen Eagles" from our class and for their families. Today was Zachary's baby dedication also. It was a neat program and all the mommies and daddies promised that they would raise their child in God's pattern for our lives. Of course we thought that Zachary was the cutest baby up there!!! Then we went to eat barbecue at Dickey's. Yummy, and it was fun. Well, I'm going to get off for a while right now. Zachary stayed with us last night because Les had his 20 year reunion so I'm a little tired because I didn't get home til about midnight and Z woke me up at 4:30 telling me he was hungry and then the alarm went off at 7:00 am. See ya later.

Friday, September 25, 2009

Hey everyone, Well, we got back from Branson in time to hit the football game tonight between the Allen Eagles and the Plano West Wolves. We won--55-6!!! We had a WONDERFUL time in Branson. We went to several shows, enjoyed Silver Dollar City but it RAINED the first day!!! I was dry except for my feet!!!! Zachary stayed dry entirely. He's a great baby-he had fun, smiled, laughed, and had a ball. He enjoyed riding the train at SDC, rode the Ducks, and was all around a GREAT sport!!! Pictures to follow. We can't wait to take Caleb and Caitlyn there. They'll LOVE IT also!!! That will be their favorite vacation spot for awhile anyway. We are all good. Not much going on at home. I'm going to my 40th high school reunion this weekend! Les has his 20!!! Unreal. Bryan and Christopher is watching Zachary tomorrow night because it's Les' big dinner and also my get together. I have a memorial service in the morning for our "fallen Eagles". I graduated from Richardson High School in Richardson and we were "The Eagles!!" I'm excited. Well, not much else to say for now because I am tired from riding/driving today so will close for now. Take care and God Bless.

Ride 'em cowboy!!!!
He's setting up!!!!
Good evening everyone, How are you all doing? I hope well. We are doing great. Keeping busy though, lots going on. I thought you all might enjoy a few pictures of Zachary at 6 month's old. He's getting so big. He's got a lot of personality too. Kimberly and I took many of these pictures here at the house. It was fun. I hope you enjoy them. Kodi is getting bigger too. She's 6 months also. I can't wait for Caleb and Caitlyn to see how big he's getting.

I really like this one!!!

Ride 'em cowboy!!
(6 months old)

6 months old
Wow, what a beautiful day today is. I've been working on the kids' pictures so I can send them to Caleb and Caitlyn. I printed over 200!!!!! I thought I'd put a few more on here so you could see our beautiful grandchildren. Zachary will be 6 months old-I took a few pictures of him for his "birthday". Kimberly asked me if I'd help her so here they are.

Monday, September 07, 2009

Man, time flies whether or not you are having fun!!! Labor Day-can't believe it!! It's been such a hectic week for us and this week is no exception. Dr. appts for routine check-ups, dinner with the girls from a Dr. office, more Dr. appts for The Bear, etc. Kimberly gets her stitches out Friday morning. Master Zachary has his 6 month check-up on Friday afternoon! I can't believe he's 6 months old and on my mom's birthday too!!! Unfortunately it's also the anniversary of 9-11 but I think of it only as my mom's birthday. She still is around!!! We are doing great, just busy. Christopher is well, Bryan is too. Bryan's mom isn't doing too well but she's 89 years old and I probably wouldn't be either. We went to the lake today for Labor Day. We met Les, Kimberly, Z there and we had a wonderful day. Went swimming, boating, eating, more swimming, boating, etc. I'm tired!!! Chrissy had other fun things to do instead. He was with "a friend." I have to get busy this week and get Caleb and Caitlyn's pictures into be printed. I usually send them to Wally World through the computer but for some reason, I have a disc that the computer won't accept!! Weird. Oh well. Well, I hope your day was wonderful and I'll look forward to writing again later. Love ya'll and so does Jesus.

Wednesday, September 02, 2009

Hello everyone, Well it's been awhile since I've written but it's been kind of crazy around here lately!!!! Christopher had a rough weekend, Kimberly had hand surgery on Tuesday, Zachary has an ear infection, Bryan did something crazy-he hung by his knees on a steel bar that he put between 2 tree limbs. He was hanging upside down and had to try and get himself back up into the tree, so he pulled real hard on his knees and broke a blood vessel behind his knee. Needless to say he had leg swelling, foot swelling, and a lot of pain. He won't do that again!!! I'm doing great, just keeping busy with Zachary. With Kimberly's hand out of commission, we're taking care of him. He's so sweet. I tried giving him a "cheerio" today and he wasn't real sure about what to do with it. It was funny watching him. Tomorrow night is the first Allen Eagle football game!!! Yeah, I'm excited!!! We're playing Monterey Mexico-it's an exhibition game. We played them last year. Christopher and I have season tickets so that should be great also. I'm going to go to bed now so you all have a great evening. Remember Jesus loves you!!!

Shamu, Shamu, Shamu
The Riverwalk in San Antonio
The Dallas World Aquarium
Zachary getting his 4 month shots
Celebrating Uncle Les' birthday
I've been working on pictures from the summer so I thought I'd share a few with you-random shots. I hope you enjoy all the fun we had with the children.  They are such wonderful well behaved kids-as long as they are with their dad! No problems with them at all. They were respectful, polite, and a whole lot of fun to be around.  They are both loving and VERY intelligent!! I just wish they had more to do in MD than video games and TV. We didn't allow them to do that stuff very much. Oh well, what can I say. Anyway, here are some more pics.

Sunday, August 23, 2009

Hello everyone!!! We've been gone for a week. It's too quiet around here with our precious grandchildren having to have gone back to Maryland. Bryan and I took Clayton to Illinois this last week and visited some family members whom we hadn't seen in quite a few years. Pictures that I'll post later. It's always nice to get back home. Anyway, now starts the clean-up process of having neglected the house while our kids were here. We have a Sunday evening old time gospel singing tonight at church with Dennis and Sharon leading it. It will be fun and then we're off to Taco Bueno afterwards with friends then to bed!!! Well, I'll go for now so have a great day and I'll have pictures later.

Friday, August 14, 2009

Well today is going to be a sad day for Poppy, Grammy, Daddy, Caleb, Caitlyn, We're trying to do the last fun things before the kids have to go back to Maryland tomorrow. We've had such a wonderful time. There are so many pictures, I don't have time to process them, print, and laminate them, before they leave. So, my big project after returning from vacation with Clayton is to do their pictures, fix them cookies-made with so much love and then send it to them.  They enjoy their cookies and their pictures because it helps them to relive the memories of all the fun stuff we did over the summer. We did some "educational" stuff also so maybe Caleb can use the information in school.  We saw sharks, the Texas state capitol, learned about bats, other animals, etc.  They both read to their book limits at the library but we returned home from vacation to  late to turn them in to get their awards, etc. Sad. Caleb read for quite a few hours-he read Sir Lancelot and the Knights of the Round Table. Caitlyn read about 25 books. We saw the movie Moby Dick the other night along with Annie, The Sound of Music, many Bibleman adventures, Veggie Tales, many great Disney movies. The kids really enjoyed them. No shooting, no sex, no other stuff that little children shouldn't see anyway.  They laughed through them even with them saying "I didn't like it".  They ate popcorn, snuggled with all of us, and had a wonderful time. So many memories. Next year, we'll have Caleb keep a diary so he can keep up with everything. Caitlyn is too little but we can write it and she can tell us what to write. So future ideas for next time. We'll miss them so much as we won't get them again until Christmas. It's so hard-if you aren't faced with being without your grandkids for periods of time, then you don't know what it's like. People take the opportunity to share in their lives for granted when they are around or just live close. For us, we try to make every minute count because we don't have long. 2 months may sound like a lot of time, but it's not. It goes much too quickly.  We are so blessed to have them with us. Caleb learned to tie his shoes, lost 2 teeth I think if I remember correctly. The tooth fairy even found him in San Antonio!!!! So exciting. You all have a wonderful day and remember that this is the day the Lord has made-rejoice and be glad in it!!!

Wednesday, August 05, 2009

Well, we went to Finch Park to their water area. We had some water balloons which were fun. Afterward, we went to Panda's for chinese food and then went home and the kids changed clothes and headed out to the Heard. Not only did they see the snake feeding but they explored some trails as well. I stayed home and fixed chicken spagetti. They really like that dish and eat so well. We watched Princess Diaries 2 tonight. Last night we saw # 1 of Princess Diaries. The kids are sound asleep now. It was a busy day!!!! It's raining outside!!! That was a surprise to the weathermen and women because NOTHING has been said about rain over the next several days but waaa-laaa, we have rain!!! Praise the Lord. Well, I think I'm heading off to bed after checking the weather one more time to make sure we have nothing severe out there. Nothing like a Texas thunderstorm!!! Good night all.
This is Caleb coming down the big slide at Hawaiian FallsThis is Bryan's birthday party with Christopher and the kids.
Caitlyn is swimming at Grandma's and she's underwater!!! She's doing great!!!

Good morning everyone, Well, I downloaded some more pictures so let me find them and put some more on here for your "viewing pleasure". We're having to begin to count the time down now and it's very difficult to see what the kids want to do most. Today is Snake Feeding at the Heard Museum. All of you from out of state, can look at the Heard Museum. Caleb LOVES the Heard Museum. They have trails, stuff to look at and things to do.  I think I heard them both say they'd like to go to the water park this morning. Oh, I just happened to think-the water park is closed on Wed. Well, we'll see what's next on the list.  Maybe it will be the nature trails. We were swimming yesterday.  On Saturday, it will be a busy day! Skating, waterpark, dinner at the lake, boating with a friend of Kimberly and mine. She has 2 kids our kids ages. Fun, fun, fun. Oh well, have a great day.

Sunday, August 02, 2009

Hey everyone, Miss me???? We had a WONDERFUL vacation with the children. Christopher's work was so wonderful to let him take the week of so he could enjoy the kids on this trip. We were going to leave Monday but I got sick and ended up being in ER in McKinney for several hours. Okay though and we left on Tuesday. Had a wonderful time exploring San Antonio with the children. Pictures will come soon. They loved the riverwalk and boat. Feeding tortilla chips to the ducks from Casa Rio, the market, the bats there-yes they have a bat colony starting there also. We had a great time at Sea World. I want to go back also!! They loved it and want to return also. Their tickets are good until Dec. 31st so when they come back at Christmas, maybe we'll get there again. Sea World was a wonderful place and we could have spent several more days there exploring everything. We didn't get to do everything while we were there. All 3 grandchildren were really so good and we just had a wonderful time. Poor Z, though, he was tired from always having to stay in a car seat or something like that. He wanted to run so bad with C and C he could taste it. They love him and he loves them!! He's going to be lonely when they have to go back to Maryland. We got to Austin to see the bats fly, but our boat trip was cancelled because of a storm. We saw them flying anyway but it WAS disappointing. We may even try to go back before they head back. We'll see though. Bryan's mom continues to be in ever worsening health. We knew that would occur though. Not much else new here but I will post pictures later. Have a great week.

Sunday, July 26, 2009

Well today we celebrated Bryan's birthday tonight with a surprise party for him. It was our family and some close friends and also our grandchildren!! What a blessing. Tomorrow Kimberly, Zachary, Caleb, Caitlyn, and Grammy are heading for San Antonio. We're so excited to be going. I wish Bryan could go but with his mom the way she is, he doesn't want to leave her and I don't blame him. We're going to try and do some other things once we get back. In San Antonio, we're heading for the riverwalk and the boats, Casa Rio restaurant, the market, Sea World, the Alamo, and then when we get to Austin, we'll see the bats flying out from the Congress Ave. bridge. We'll also see the UT campus, the capitol, and other stuff. We'll ride in the bat boat up and down Lady Bird lake. It should be a great mini vacation for the kids and for us to. Well, that's it for now so I'll talk to you all later in the week-maybe.

Saturday, July 25, 2009

Here are a few cute pics with the kids. Such a great picture of Grandma and the kids.

Good morning world!!! I know it's 11:26 in the morning and I just got rudely awoken by the bird screaming. I was up all night last night at the hospital and got home around 5am. Matey responded to me when I came home but then ended up squawking at the top of his lungs like a rooster so I had to go ahead and wake up. Oh well, Bryan, Christopher and the kids went to Hawaiian Falls without me :( Too tired to go. There will be plenty of water time with the kids next week. I'm going to add some pictures to this blog in a little while so you can see the kids. So sweet!! Have a great day.

Friday, July 24, 2009

MAN did we have fun last night at the rodeo!!! It was great. Got some cute video's of the kids-Caleb riding the fake bull and Caitlyn riding a real pony. We had a great time and really enjoyed ourselves. Zachary had fun also, for a little while anyway. Well, today is Kimberly's last day to work for MMI. She's quitting to be a fulltime mom and also to help family members when and if they will let her. That's such an important job and she'll be great at it. Say a prayer for Kimberly and Les as they both prayed about it and really feel that is where the Lord is leading them. Read 1 Timothy 5:3-10 and you'll understand. Put a special emphasis on verses 4 and 8. I hope you all have a wonderful day in the Lord and remember that TODAY is the day the Lord hath made-rejoice in it. Love ya.

Thursday, July 23, 2009

I see Carlos and Deborah were on here!!!!!!! Yippeeeeeeeee Love ya'll so much
Well, I'm up and at 'em already this morning. Breakfast finished, emails checked, and ready to get going. Today is SAM'S day to replenish stock for my brother's house-his supplies and get some more things for our household. Then, this evening is the Bonham rodeo-yippee, the kids love it!!! The summer is going way too fast!!! I can't believe that we are at the end of July already. Next week will be great also!!! Why?????? We're go to San Antonio for the week. We're seeing the bats in Austin, Seaworld in S. A. and then all the fun stuff in S. A. Kimberly, the kids, and I are going. Bryan's mom's health is failing so he's not going with us. Wish Chrissy could get a day to go but that's okay-we'll have so much fun. The kids are in for a BIG treat!!!! VACATION!!!!! Love it!!! Well, you all have a wonderful day and know I am especially because my grandchildren are here with us!!!! I think I may have told you but Z's blood levels are looking awesome so the Dr. thinks he's "out of the woods" now. Thank you Jesus!!! Your the Lover of my Soul!!

Wednesday, July 22, 2009

Man what a wonderful day today was!!! Kimberly, Z, Caleb, Caitlyn, and I went to the Ft. Worth Zoo today. We had a lot of fun and really enjoyed the day. I'll have to put some pictures on this page. Kimberly even helped hold a python!!! Bryan's mom told her nurse that we had left her for a long time. She didn't realize that it was just me going and not Bryan. She confused also the fact that I have some plans for next week and she thought that we had left and would be gone for a long time. Poor thing-the nurse said that she was really upset. She was going to tell mom that we were home and I was just gone for the day. The kids were great!!!!! They all had so much fun and Z was intrigued with all that he saw. It was fun. Got some good pictures also. Okay, it's late and I'm going to bed so you all have a great night!! Love ya.

Monday, July 20, 2009

Time sure does fly by!! I can't believe how quick it goes. Several things have been going on and it just keeps us hopping. The kids are having fun though. They really enjoy going to the water park more than the natatorium because you can play with water balloons there. Right now, they are out with Poppy shooting the pellet gun while I pay bills. The kids are so precious. They are so loving toward us and just hug us and tell us how much they love us. We're all so happy they are here!!! They are having a slumber party tonight with Les, KK, Zachary. They are REALLY excited because they get to play with Kodi a lot and help Uncle Les do his work. KK and Les love having them with them. The kids adore Zachary!!! Well, gotta go for now and take the kids to KK's after they finish shooting the gun. Have a great week and God Bless.

Sunday, July 19, 2009

Hi Carlos and Deborah!!!!! I'm talking to Carlos right now.

Tuesday, July 14, 2009

Well, an update about Mr. Zachary!!!! He was over 13 1/2 pounds and 25 inches long!!! His blood was so good that he doesn't have to have it rechecked for 4 weeks!!! Yeah Zachary!!! Thank you Jesus. He's fussy today because yesterday is when we went and he got his shots and this morning he wasn't happy at all. Poor little guy!!! Caitlyn went with me yesterday also. She got to meet all of his Dr.'s-from the hematologist that diagnosed him to the neonatologist who treated him when he was first born. Caleb couldn't go because he had dodgeball camp at church yesterday afternoon. He said that next year, he'd like to do basketball camp so we'll bank that in the ole brain so we can remember when next year rolls around. Today is our son in laws birthday!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO LES!!!! We are SO blessed to have him as a son. God blessed us with 1 biological son and 1 son by marriage. We have a HOST of other "sons" that we love too but these 2 of ours are different. God Blessed us with one daughter and I am praying for another "daughter" and hopefully some day we'll get the RIGHT one!!! That's what we want--the RIGHT one not just ANYONE but THE ONE. We have a host of other "daughter's" also and we love them too. Well, I had to go back to the Dr. today and got a shot of steroid. I think it's already helping me. My cough is terrible and it hurts to cough so much-but I can't help it. I have a sinus infection and fluid in my right ear. That's the ear it's always in. Oh well, you all have a great day and God Bless You.

Saturday, July 11, 2009

Hello everyone, Well, it's the weekend!!!! I can't believe it. The kids are having fun with their daddy today. We have Z and Kodi here tonight because Kimberly and Les are at the Ladona rodeo and dance and they are celebrating Les' birthday. I hope they have fun. I tell ya what-that Kodi is a brat!!! She's sweet though. We played ball in the yard for awhile and she is good at fetching and bringing it back to you. She sits, goes down, shakes, says her prayers so far. That's good for being a puppy. She also ilkes to CHEW on ANYTHING she can get those teeth on!!!! Well, I'm going to wake Z up, bathe him, and give him a bottle and hopefully he'll be down for the count but time will tell. I'm hoping I sleep well tonight!!!!

Thursday, July 09, 2009

I'm going to add some more pictures to the blog. We were at Sammy and Lindy's new apartment today. They are twin sisters and we have known them for 8 years and we have such a great time together. They love the kids so much. They've known Caleb since he was a little guy and he was the first baby they had ever held. They are like aunts to all of the kids. The kids love them so much. They are wonderful aunts and we consider them relatives. Anyway, enjoy the pictures.

Hello everyone. I have some sweet pictures so far of the kids' visit. We are having a lot of fun with them so far. I hope you enjoy them. We've  loved having them with us! I sure wish we had them more!!  We've been swimming the last 2-3 days. The first week they were here, we had VBS. The next week was when Grandpa died so that wasn't a fun week for anyone. I was really surprised though, they BOTH wanted to go and see where Grandpa was laid to rest. They really liked the spot where he is. They understand that it's just his "shell" that his soul is in Heaven walking with Jesus.  Anyway, I hope you enjoy the pics we've taken.

Something else exciting happened yesterday.  Caleb had a loose tooth and he pulled it himself!!!! right in front of Poppy. We had given him the dental floss and he took it and wrapped it around the back of the tooth and then crossed it in the front and pop!! out it came!!! I was so surprised. The Texas tooth fairy left him $5.00 and a note.  I remember when a quarter was exciting!!! We hope you have a great evening. God Bless You All.

There is a song that is sung by Brandon Heath called Give me Your Eyes. That magnifies my life. Praise Jesus He saved me!! and has given me the opportunity to spend eternity with Him in Glory!!!! Hallelujah!!!!! Praise the Lord.
You know what?? I forgot to give you all the results of Christopher's tests!!! They were wonderful. Definitely post traumatic stress syndrome stemming from the stress he had in Maryland with his ex-wife. He's doing great!! He has a girlfriend now. He's taking his time, doing it "right" this time instead of what happened before. The kids REALLY like her a lot and she is a sweet young woman. She's 31 and her name is Jennifer. She has a little girl that is 6 so she's in between Caleb and Caitlyn's ages. We're having fun with the kids but we'll have more fun now that we have a little freedom. We're trying to decide what to do because there are so many things to do in Texas.  I KNOW we're going to Austin to see the bats fly out from under the bridge. Well, I gotta run right now to take Clayton to the Dr.  Have a blessed day.

By the way, we're going to go and watch fireworks again tonight!! This will be the 3rd display we've seen. We saw Allen's, Wylie's and tonight is McKinney's. We're going to park in the parking lot of our church tonight. We'll take some snacks, drinks, etc. Zachary was fasinated watching them. Caleb and Caitlyn have been enjoying them also-it's probably the most they've ever seen. They are having a good time down here. They've made some new friends and done some things they hadn't done in previous trips. More to come though!!!!! Have a great rest of the weekend and enjoy your church services!!!!
Happy 4th of July everyone!!! Well, we've had a difficult week this week with the loss of Bryan's daddy early Tuesday morning. We had the funeral yesterday and it was a wonderful service. Bryan and his brother David even sang a song that their daddy had sang to them when they were children. It was very touching. Praise God that Bryan's mom seemed to do okay throughout the long day. I just don't know long she'll last now. They were married almost 72 years!!! Dad, we will miss you but we know where you are and wouldn't want you to have to come back here for anything!!!! Enjoy Heaven until we get there!!!

Well, today is a very sad day in the life of the Johnson Family. Bryan's daddy passed away at 1:15AM this morning. He'd been sick off and on for about 2 months. He'd been in the hospital 3 different times in 2 months. We weren't really surprised but you are never really ready for the late night phone call. We KNOW that he is at Home with his Creator and he's probably telling my parents that yes it was me that always sent him to the hospital. I can still hear my dad saying, "we knew what we were doing when we sent her to nursing school!!" Thank you to my mom and dad. Bryan's mom accepted the news as we felt like she would. It was hard for her because she isn't in good health either. We're afraid that it won't be too long til she follows him. They were married almost 72 years!!! Hard to believe. If you wonder how we KNOW where Dad is, you may ask me. I will tell you. In fact, I'll tell you here. At a young age, he asked Jesus to be the Lord of his life and to come into his life and live in him and guide him throughout his life. He GAVE his life to Jesus!!!! The Bible says that is the only way that you will spend eternity with Him. You may think it is narrow minded and well, it is but its what Jesus says that counts!!!!. May God bless you throughout your coming days and read the book of Romans or Acts or John and He'll help you. We did have a blessing today though. Zachary's blood tests came back so good!!! He was up on his red blood cells which is a blessing.

Here we are at the Race for the Cure. It was fun. Zachary was very popular getting his picture made!!!
Boy, it's been an eternity since I have written on my blog!!! Sorry for all who regularly read it. So many updates, so little time to write!! Bryan's parents have till been having problems and in fact his dad is back in the hospital. He collapsed on Friday and we thought we had lost him. He's recovering a little though which is an answer to prayer. I feel so sorry for him during this most difficult time-that is Bryan AND his daddy. The kids got here last week and we've had VBS all week long! It's been very exciting around here to say the least.  Zachary has more blood work done this week to see how his levels are. He was down a little last week so that's why he's being tested again so soon. I don't remember if I wrote about the Komen Race for the cure. When I check everything, I'll see and if I didn't put in pictures, I will come back and add some pictures to the blog. Well, I'm going to go and check the blog and I'll write more later. Have a great week!!!!

Hey everyone, Go to this website for Komen and see if you recognize 2 people on the site!!! Z and I are famous!!   http://www.komennorthtexas.org/race_photos.html    that is soooo exciting!!!! Well, I'm 5 years breast cancer free and ALSO 10 years uterine cancer free!! All I can say is praise the Lord and I'm so humbled by what God has done in my life. It's just so humbling to be spared from such terrible diseases!!! I have been thanking Jesus ALL DAY LONG today especially!!! I thank Him daily anyway but I'm so blessed.  Thank you for the prayers that you have given for me.  Kimberly made Z's little Komen shirt because they don't have them in his size.

Well everyone, Sorry it's been a few days since I wrote a post.  I hope you like the pictures that I'm putting out with this post.  We are all doing well, just busy!!! Caleb and Caitlyn get here this weekend. I'll also enclose a picture of Kodi-the new puppy. I call her and Z "the twins" because she was born 1 week after Zachary. In fact, she was born on Zachary's due date. It's fun to watch both of them growing!!! Zachary was with us at the Komen Race for the cure. He's wearing my "Survivor glasses". He was such a big hit!! Here he is in his life jacket and sunglasses at the lake. These are all recent 3 month pictures.  Zachary's also sitting in his jumper at Grammy and Poppy's house.  Kodi is in Z's swing and then outside.  I hope you have a great week.

Well, I tried the video again, this time pushing the correct button but it still didn't load so I don't know if I gave it enough time-like 5 minutes, may not be long enough though. Someone can let me know if it's common to take a long time. Oh well, I can always try it again!!! Got storms coming tonight so the new computer goes off.

Well I wanted to post a little movie of Zachary in the tub but I think it's too big to load. Oh well, I tried. I'll try some other fairly current pictures of him that have been made recently. I hope your day is going well--ours have been.

Tuesday, June 09, 2009

Hey everyone. I hope your day has been great-mine has. Yesterday, we found out that Zachary weighs 12 pounds and 1.6 ounces!!! Big boy!!! Today was a great day also with some test results that came back wonderful!! Exciting for us. Caleb and Caitlyn come in 1 1/2 weeks!!! We got caregivers for Bryan's parents but his daddy ended up back in the hospital over the weekend. It's so sad-they are really having problems!!!! Just pray for us and for them.  Remember Jesus loves you!!!

Sunday, June 07, 2009

Good afternoon everyone, I hope you are having a good day. I'm sitting in the hospital with my father in law. Yes, we're back again!!! When it rains, it pours. In the last 3 weeks, both of my in laws have been in the hospital. I feel so sorry for my husband!!! We did start some caregivers so that will help. I hope you all are doing good. Other than hospitals, we're doing great. God is so good!!! Not much going on around us, just hanging out. The Komen race for the cure was exciting yesterday. Many people. I'm celebrating 5 years since diagnosed with breast cancer and 10 years free of uterine cancer. I'M A SURVIVOR!!!!!!   Grandkids will be here in 2 weeks-we're excited about them getting here for the rest of the summer. I hope you all have a wonderful week ahead and remember to talk to Jesus!!!

Friday, June 05, 2009

Good morning everyone, How are you all doing today?? I am good, just busy helping to get my in laws set up with a caregiver. They really don't want to move into a nursing home or anything so this is the next best thing. Anyway, my little 3 month old grandson discovered his hands this morning. How exciting!!!! It's so much fun to watch him. The other 2 will be here in a couple of weeks!! Yeah exciting.  It should be a great summer with all the kids being here. They want to get to do all sorts of things this summer.  We have VBS the first week and then who knows from there.

Oh sleep where are you????  I KNEW I shouldn't have had a glass of peach tea!!! Well, it's 1:57am and I just finished a cup of Sleepytime tea. Hopefully that will help me get sleepy. A busy day today and a little sad. We had to tell my in-laws that we were going to get someone to stay with them to help them be able to stay in their own apartment. Mom cried and I felt sorry for her. It's so hard to see them getting older and needing more and more help. Dad just took it all in stride as he's always done but mom took it pretty hard. We didn't want them in a "home" and so decided this would be the best route for now. I just hope we can help them maintain their hydration, food intake, general health. We figured they'd get more care being with a caregiver for the 2 of them. I feel like it will work out. Joy, the care home owner that I use for my brother is so wonderful!!!! I called her yesterday and she came up today and looked around and we talked about using some of her caregivers. It will be quite an adjustment for Bryan's mom and dad but we really wanted them to stay in their home.  Pray for them as they adjust to many changes in their health and lifestyle. We only have 20 more days before Caleb and Caitlyn get here!!!!! wooo-hoooo. Caitlyn wanted to talk to Bryan and I tonight so that was neat. Only got a couple of words out of Caleb though. Don't know what's going on in his head. It's so sad what they have to go through. God protect them!!!! We were watching John Hagee ministries this evening and he was doing a sermon on "the end times". Boy it's close!!! As he says, we better look up, pack up, cause we're going up sooner than what we think. If you don't know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, ask me because I don't want you left behind when the rapture happens. It won't be a pretty sight around here. All the good will be gone and the only thing left is all the evil that satan can dish out.
Zachary got to go to his first rodeo last week. The kids said he had fun that he was so busy just looking around at everything going on. They had a good time. He's really smiling, cooing alot. He'll be 3 months old in about 8 days or so. My, how time flies!!!
Christopher had the first part of his test run this morning. It was interesting. Can't wait for the results. He's such a neat guy. The ladies at the Dr. office were saying how sweet, polite, and kind he is. I can't help but agree with them wholeheartedly!!!
Bryan goes to his parents tomorrow for a few days until the caregiver gets there then we'll be training her and helping to "learn the ropes." Should be interesting. Anyway, I hope your week is going well so take care, God Bless, and talk to the Lord!!!
